World Series Game 5 Betting Guide: Best Bet, Best Prop & +230 SGP

What a night for the Astros, and what a night for Cristian Javier. 6 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 9K 🔥. Our Best Bet (Astros ML), Best Prop (Javier 7+ Strike outs) and our +289 Same Game Parlay all won. Not to brag, but our write up for game 4 reads like we had a time machine. Let’s keep this rolling for Game 5 of what is turning into an epic World Series.
Best Bet
This series has been a see sawing affair, and the favoured team going in has only won once. The first three games were also defined by exceptional slugging, then this last game was the pitcher. So, the trend would suggest Game 4 was an aberration. But was it? We think so.
Last night was a win on the back of Javier. One of the all-time great individual performances. The first no hitter in 65 years in the World Series. But this time, the Astros have Verlander on the mound. His achievements in the game are a lengthy list…but not in the fall. In Game 1, he surrendered 5 runs in 5 innings. In eight World Series starts he’s 0-6 (6.07 ERA). The Astros are also 1-7 as a team in World Series games started by Verlander. We know he’s a legend, but the stats don’t lie and the sample size isn’t small here. We think the Phillies will be back on form and win their fifth game in a row as home underdogs. We’ll take the Run Line coverage though.
Pick: Phillies +1.5.

Best Prop
We think the Phillies will get back to their scoring ways for game 5 with the change in pitching line up. We particularly like Kyle Schwarber. In each of the last five games that the Phillies have won as home underdogs, Schwarber has scored at least one run.
Pick: Kyle Schwarber to Record a Run
