Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have won the last six Grand Slam singles titles on the men’s side, dating back to the start of 2024, winning three apiece. Will the youth movement continue, or can Novak Djokovic triumph again at the All-England Club and score one more for the old guard?

Given the current ATP rankings, Friday’s draw ceremony will be fascinating – and could have a significant impact on the odds and the eventual outcome. Hubert Hurkacz and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard are among the unseeded players in the field who could face a seeded opponent in the first round. A top-eight seed will likely run into Halle champion Alexander Bublik in the third round. Bublik is the seventh favorite to win the entire tournament, so nobody wants to see him on the other side of the net so early.

Let’s break down the odds and the best bets to make for the Wimbledon men’s singles event.

Wimbledon men's singles odds

Sinner is the world No. 1 and he was a Wimbledon semifinalist in 2023. Alcaraz is the two-time defending champion, plus he just captured a second consecutive French Open title. Joining Djokovic on the list of top challengers are Jack Draper, Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz.

Here is the shortlist of Wimbledon favorites:

Jannik Sinner +150

Carlos Alcaraz +150

Novak Djokovic +600

Jack Draper +1200

Alexander Zverev +2000

Taylor Fritz +2500

Alexander Bublik +3000

Daniil Medvedev +3500

Wimbledon men’s singles winner predictions

Pick #1: Novak Djokovic to win Wimbledon (+600)

Pick #2: Jack Draper to win Wimbledon (+1200)

Pick #3: Jakub Mensik to win Wimbledon (+5000)

PICK #1: Novak Djokovic to win Wimbledon (+600)

As good as Sinner and Alcaraz are, it’s hard to justify backing either one of them at such short odds – especially on grass, where the margins in matches are generally a lot smaller than they are on other surfaces. As such, Djokovic has better value at +600. The 37-year-old is the proud owner of 24 major titles, seven of which have come at Wimbledon. Even if Djokovic is past his prime, grass is a surface on which he can still win. Points are shorter, service breaks are fewer and tiebreakers are plentiful. Perhaps no one in the history of tennis has played tiebreakers better than Djokovic. An eighth triumph on the lawns of London is by no means out of the question.

PICK #2: Jack Draper to win Wimbledon (+1200)

Draper probably needs a favorable draw to end up as the champion, but stranger things have happened. If guys like Djokovic and Bublik land closer to Sinner and Alcaraz in the bracket, the door could be open for the 23-year-old. He certainly has the talent to walk through it, too. Draper picked up a Masters 1000 title a few months ago in Indian Wells, the biggest reason why he has soared to No. 4 in the rankings. The British left-hander plays well on grass and he has home-court advantage, so glory in front of his own fans is possible.

PICK #3: Jakub Mensik to win Wimbledon (+5000)

If you are in the business of a longshot, Mensik could be the play. The Czech is only 19 years old, but we have seen in the likes of Sinner and Alcaraz that guys can get very good very fast. Mensik lifted a Masters 1000 trophy in Miami this spring (upset Djokovic in the final), so he has proven that he can win on the biggest stages in tennis. With a booming serve and flat groundstrokes, Mensik’s game style should work perfectly on grass. Consistency may be lacking at this point in his career, but – as we saw in Miami – when Mensik gets hot, there is no opponent he can’t beat on any given day.
