Wimbledon Tennis Men’s Singles Winner Picks

Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the tennis season, gets underway at the All-England Club in London on Monday. On the men’s side, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner is a heavy favorite to successfully defend his 2025 title. Sinner has not yet won a slam in 2026, but he has won all five Masters 1000 tournaments – cementing himself as a dominant force on tour, especially with an injured Carlos Alcaraz not around to challenge him.

Although Alcaraz is sidelined by a wrist issue, other familiar faces could give Sinner a run for his money at Wimbledon. Novak Djokovic has won this tournament seven times and is still going relatively strong even at 39 years old. Alexander Zverev is coming off his first major triumph at the French Open. Americans Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz, and Frances Tiafoe are all in fine form.

Let’s break down the odds and the best bets to make for the Wimbledon men’s singles event.

Wimbledon men's singles odds

Sinner is the overwhelming top choice ahead of Djokovic, Zverev, Shelton, Fritz, Jack Draper, and Jakub Mensik. If you are in the business of backing longshots, among those worth a look are Medvedev, Alexander Bublik, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Flavio Cobolli.

Here is the short list of the latest odds:

  • Jannik Sinner -165
  • Novak Djokovic +500
  • Alexander Zverev +1100
  • Ben Shelton +1700
  • Taylor Fritz +2000
  • Jack Draper +3000
  • Jakub Mensik +3500
  • Matteo Berrettini +5000
  • Frances Tiafoe +5000
  • Hubert Hurkacz +5000
  • Daniil Medvedev +5000

Wimbledon men’s predictions

  • Pick #1 - Alexander Zverev to win Wimbledon (+1100)
  • Pick #2 – Ben Shelton to win Wimbledon (+1700)
  • Pick #3 - Felix Auger-Aliassime to win Wimbledon (+8000)

PICK #1: Alexander Zverev (+1100)

Let’s start with the fact that Sinner is not necessarily a lock to win it all – even if he is favored over the entire rest of the field. He lost to Djokovic in the Australian Open semifinals and wilted in the Parisian heat at Roland Garros, falling in five sets to unheralded Juan Manuel Cerundolo in the second round. With Alcaraz not playing, we are once again just one Sinner upset away from another event getting blown completely wide open. If that happens, Zverev could once again be the one to capitalize. The third-ranked German’s weight of having never won a Grand Slam is finally off his shoulders, so that could free him up to play even better than he did in Paris. Zverev also has the advantage of being in the opposite half of the Wimbledon draw from Sinner as the No. 2 seed.

PICK #2: Ben Shelton (+1700)

Shelton could not have asked for a more favorable path to the title when the draw ceremony was held on Friday morning. The fifth-ranked American is in the opposite half of the bracket from Sinner and Djokovic, and his quarter is not particularly challenging on paper. Shelton reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals last summer (lost to Sinner), and his current grass-court swing already features a title in Stuttgart (beat Fritz in the final).

PICK #3: Felix Auger-Aliassime (+8000)

As mentioned above, it is well worth making a longshot play or two when just about everyone in the field will have a chance if Sinner bows out. Auger-Aliassime is certainly among those who would have the best shot, just as he did at Roland Garros, where he advanced to the quarterfinals. The fourth-ranked Canadian has never put it all together on grass, but in theory, his game style should work very well on this surface. He serves big and likes to keep points short with first-strike tennis, which he should be able to do on a quicker court.
