US Open Tennis Women's Singles Winner Picks 2025

All three women’s singles Grand Slams so far during this tennis season have featured an American in the final. That includes victories for Madison Keys at the Australian Open and for Coco Gauff at Wimbledon. Dating back to Gauff’s U.S. Open triumph in 2023, an American woman has played in four consecutive major title matches. Will the host nation continue the streak in New York? It certainly has a chance, with Gauff, Keys and Jessica Pegula among the hopefuls.
However, everyone is looking up – both in the rankings and on the list of favorites – at Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka. Swiatek lifted the U.S. Open trophy in 2022, while Sabalenka is the defending champion. Let’s break down the odds and the best futures bets to make for the U.S. Open women’s singles event.
U.S. Open women's singles odds
There are two massive favorites on the men’s side in Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. The story is similar in the women’s competition, as Swiatek and Sabalenka find themselves well out in front. However, they aren’t quite locks to go head-to-head in the final like Sinner and Alcaraz seem to be in the men’s tournament. The top two women could be challenged by Gauff, Keys, Pegula, Mirra Andreeva and Elena Rybakina. Here is the shortlist of US Open women’s singles favorites:
- Iga Swiatek +280
- Aryna Sabalenka +300
- Coco Gauff +950
- Mirra Andreeva +1200
- Elena Rybakina +1300
- Naomi Osaka +1900
- Madison Keys +2200
- Victoria Mboko +2200
- Amanda Anisimova +2500
- Emma Raducanu +2700
- Jasmine Paolini +4500
- Jessica Pegula +4500
- Clara Tauson +5500

PICK #1: Iga Swiatek to win the U.S. Open (+280)
Swiatek was once only dominant on clay, but right now she is looking like the best player in the world regardless of surface. The 24-year-old Pole triumphed on the grass of Wimbledon last month and she is coming off a title on the hard courts of Cincinnati. With basically no rest, Swiatek teamed up with Casper Ruud to finish runner-up in the new-look U.S. Open mixed doubles competition. The world No. 2 is playing great and she has a favorable draw in New York on the opposite side from Sabalenka, Andreeva and Rybakina.
PICK #2: Mirra Andreeva to win the U.S. Open (+1200)
There has been a ton of pressure on Andreeva since she burst onto the scene as a 16-year-old in 2023. The Russian has cooled off a bit this season, but that could be a good thing going into New York. Expectations aren’t quite as high as they once were and she is flying somewhat under the radar – especially after fellow teenager Victoria Mboko recently lifted the trophy in Montreal. Don’t be surprised if Andreeva capitalizes on an ideal draw. The No. 5 seed would not run into Sabalenka until the semis and Swiatek until the final.
PICK #3: Elena Rybakina to win the U.S. Open (+1300)
Rybakina is in a tough quarter of the bracket with Sabalenka, but she just took the top seed to the woodshed in Cincinnati. The Kazakh knows she can beat Sabalenka… and anyone else. For example, she is 5-7 lifetime against Sabalenka and 4-6 against Swiatek – not bad against the two best players in the world. Rybakina has plenty of momentum going into the U.S. Open following back-to-back semifinal appearances in Montreal and Cincinnati.
