The SEC spotlight shifts to Athens this weekend, where No. 9 Georgia looks to hand No. 5 Ole Miss its first loss of the season. The Bulldogs are coming off a tough 20-10 win over Auburn, while Ole Miss barely survived a 24–21 home scare against Washington State despite being more than a four-touchdown favorite.

Georgia has been inconsistent offensively, while Ole Miss’s high-powered attack has often masked some of its defensive flaws. With the Bulldogs favored by a touchdown at home, the question is whether Kirby Smart’s defense can slow down Lane Kiffin’s explosive offense.

Let’s break down our Ole Miss vs Georgia best bets for Saturday’s marquee SEC matchup.

Ole Miss vs Georgia Predictions

Pick #1: Georgia Bulldogs -7 over Ole Miss Rebels (-115) Click Here to Bet

Pick #2: Under 54.5 (-110) Click Here to Bet

Pick #3: Chauncey Bowens (UGA) Over 44.5 Rushing Yards (-115) Click Here to Bet

PICK #1: Georgia -7 over Ole Miss (-115) Click Here to Bet

The Bulldogs rank just 52nd nationally in total offense (414.0 yards per game), yet they’ve faced three top-25 defenses in their last four games. Ole Miss, meanwhile, ranks just 96th in rushing defense, allowing 157.7 yards per game on the ground — and that’s where this matchup tilts.

The Bulldogs’ ground game, led by Chauncey Bowens and Nate Frazier, has been efficient when given volume. Expect Georgia to lean heavily on its four running backs, plus quarterback Gunnar Stockton’s legs, against a Rebel front that can be exploited between the tackles.

Ole Miss’s offense is dangerous (515.3 yards per game, fifth in FBS), but they can be sloppy from down to down and when needing to sustain drives. They rank 125th in penalty yards per game (73.8) and 95th in turnover rate (11.4%). That won’t fly in Athens against a Georgia defense allowing just 17.0 points per game and ranking fifth nationally in red-zone defense (66.7%).

Georgia’s ability to win time of possession (32:23 on average, 19th in FBS) should limit the Rebels’ rhythm. Ole Miss will look for big plays, but Georgia’s defense ranks seventh in explosive play prevention.

Expect a physical, methodical Bulldogs team at home. They just control the pace and capitalize on turnovers.

PICK #2: Under 54.5 (-110) Click Here to Bet

At first glance, this total seems modest given Ole Miss’s offensive ranking. But context matters.

When Georgia wins, they do it by grinding opponents down. Their defense is allowing just 307.2 total yards per game and has been particularly stingy against the run (91.7 yards allowed, 17th nationally). Ole Miss likes to score quickly; their average time of possession (28:24) ranks 104th in the country, but the Rebels can make mistakes when forced to deliver on long drives.

Georgia will look to own the clock, shorten the game and lean on its red-zone defense to bend without breaking. Ole Miss’s only path to pushing this Over is through chunk plays. If Ole Miss doesn’t hit multiple 40-yard touchdowns, their drives could stall, especially in the second half when Georgia’s front seven adjusts.

Both quarterbacks are capable but volatile. This feels like another SEC grinder. The Rebels should get their shots, but Georgia’s depth and defensive discipline at home make the Under the sharper side.

PICK #3: Chauncey Bowens Over 44.5 Rushing Yards (-115) Click Here to Bet

If Georgia covers this number, Chauncey Bowens likely plays a big role in it.

The freshman back has quietly led the Bulldogs in rushing efficiency, averaging 5.25 yards per carry on 60 attempts this season. He’s tied for the team lead in carries and has proven most effective in home games, notably torching Alabama (119 yards) and Kentucky (70 yards) for two of Georgia’s best offensive outings.

Bowens has the burst and balance to thrive against a suspect Ole Miss front that’s giving up nearly 160 rushing yards per game. With Georgia projected to control the tempo, he should get 10-12 carries, plenty to clear a modest 44.5-yard total.

Even if the Bulldogs rotate backs, Bowens should get a boost in his volume projection if Georgia leads late.
