Manchester City vs. Nottingham Forest Prediction, Premier League Odds & Best Bets (11/7)

Fact checked at 9:03 AM ET, Nov 7, 2026
Odds as of 8:19 AM ET, Nov 7, 2026
Manchester City visit Nottingham Forest at 12:30 PM ET at the City Ground, where Forest haven't scored a Premier League goal at home this season. Their four league games in Nottingham ended in 1-0 losses to Leeds, Coventry and Arsenal and a 0-0 draw with Tottenham. Forest are 1-3-5 with six points and have taken one point from their last five. City are 7-0-2 with 21 points. They lost back-to-back league games, 2-1 at Aston Villa and 1-0 at home to Brighton, then won 3-2 at RB Leipzig in the Champions League in midweek, with Erling Haaland scoring the winner.
Our read is a City win with Haaland scoring and Forest held without a goal again, something like 2-0. That one result wins all three picks. Forest are without midfielder Nicolas Dominguez, out for up to eight weeks after a hamstring setback, and full-back Nicolo Savona (knee). Striker Igor Jesus trained all week after a calf problem. Winger Antoine Semenyo is City's only absentee. Both lineups are the expected ones.
Manchester City vs. Nottingham Forest Predictions
- Pick #1: Manchester City Moneyline (-135)
- Pick #2: Erling Haaland Anytime Goalscorer (-133)
- Pick #3: Both Teams to Score: No (+115)
PICK #1: Manchester City Moneyline (-135)
City score on the road. They have 20 league goals, and nine of them came in four away games: 4-1 at Crystal Palace, 1-0 at Manchester United, 3-0 at Liverpool and the 2-1 loss at Villa. Even the Brighton defeat flattered Brighton. City took 21 shots worth 1.92 expected goals and still lost 1-0.
Forest have six league goals in nine games, fewest in the league, and they've been shut out five times. Oliver Glasner said this week that their performances are not "disastrous," but that the mistakes that "repeatedly happen" have to stop. He'll be trying to fix that without Dominguez in midfield. At -135, City are priced as a 57.4% chance, a fair ask for the better attack against the league's quietest one.
A draw loses, since the bet settles on 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Forest do create chances, and their 14.6 expected goals rank in the top five. If the finishing finally turns, a City side that also played in Germany in midweek could drop points again.
PICK #2: Erling Haaland Anytime Goalscorer (-133)
Haaland has scored in every away league game this season: twice at Crystal Palace, then once each at Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa. He has nine league goals in nine appearances, has scored in seven of those games and got the winner at Leipzig. If City win at the City Ground, he's the most likely reason why.
The price is -133, or 57.1%. The knock is his record against Forest: he hasn't scored in his recent meetings with them, and Forest have conceded only three goals in four home league games. Every projected City lineup has him leading the line, so the case depends on him starting. Own goals don't count in this market.
PICK #3: Both Teams to Score: No (+115)
Forest's four home league games have produced three goals, all by the visitors, so none of them has seen both teams score. Five of their nine league games ended without a Forest goal. Liam Delap is in line to start up front, and Igor Jesus has only just come back from his calf problem.
City's defense is the weak spot here. They haven't kept a clean sheet in any competition since the 3-0 win at Liverpool, and they've conceded in each of their last three league games. This bet rests on Forest's attack, the league's lowest-scoring, staying cold. The +115 price works out to 46.5%, and in a game City should control, a Forest goal is the less likely outcome. Like the moneyline, it settles on 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
