Georgia vs. Alabama Prediction, CFB Week 6 Odds & Best Bets (10/10)

Fact checked at 6:50 AM ET, Oct 10, 2026
Odds as of Oct 10, 5:56 AM ET
No. 2 Georgia (5-0, 3-0 SEC) visits No. 6 Alabama (5-0, 3-0) on Saturday night, and Alabama is favored in the series for the first time since October 2020. Georgia was a 2.5-point road favorite when Week 6 lines posted on Sunday, Oct. 4. By Monday the number had flipped. That move came after the Week 5 results, before the first availability report: Alabama won 56-23 at Mississippi State as a 5.5-point favorite, with Keelon Russell throwing for 285 yards and three touchdowns, while Georgia beat Vanderbilt 38-14 and failed to cover a 25-point spread.
Alabama is -1.5 (-110), with the moneyline at -125 and Georgia at +104. The total is 51.5. Georgia is without running back Chauncey Bowens, its short-yardage and goal-line back and its leader with six rushing touchdowns, and wide receiver Thomas Blackshear; both are listed out on Friday's availability report. Nate Frazier, Georgia's leading rusher, is off the report after bruised ribs.
We're passing on the side, which looks like a coin flip. The more interesting fight is Georgia's defense against Alabama's passing game. In three games against Power Four opponents, Georgia allowed 17, 65 and 85 rushing yards, about 56 a game, and two rushing touchdowns. Those same three opponents threw for 283, 231 and 208 yards against it, about 241 a game. Alabama's offense already runs through Russell, who has completed 71.2% of his passes for 1,414 yards, 11 touchdowns and two interceptions.
Both picks ride on Russell's arm: they cash together if he throws the way he has all season and lose together if Georgia's pass rush or the weather slows him down. The worst of Isaias is expected to pass through Tuscaloosa during the day, and the university says the game remains on schedule. The National Weather Service still calls for a chance of showers and a southwest wind around 15 mph during the game. Kickoff is 7:30 PM ET on ABC. Russell and Lotzeir Brooks are not on Friday's availability report; the final report comes out about two hours before kickoff.
Georgia vs. Alabama Predictions
- Pick #1: Keelon Russell 240+ Passing Yards (-119)
- Pick #2: Lotzeir Brooks 50+ Receiving Yards (-124)
PICK #1: Keelon Russell 240+ Passing Yards (-119)
Russell has thrown for 240 or more in four of five games, and the one miss came in a game that looked nothing like this one. His log, most recent first:
285 yards at Mississippi State (16 of 22, three touchdowns)
365 against South Carolina (21 of 27, four touchdowns)
320 against Florida State (23 of 30, three touchdowns)
188 at Kentucky (16 of 23, one touchdown, two interceptions, sacked four times)
256 against East Carolina (18 of 30)
He averaged 13.0 and 13.5 yards per attempt in his last two games, and he hasn't thrown more than 30 passes in any game this season. Georgia, meanwhile, pushes offenses toward the pass. Arkansas threw for 283 yards against it, Oklahoma for 231 and Vanderbilt for 208.
Those three teams threw a lot because they were behind, and Arkansas needed 42 attempts for its 283. Georgia's defense has allowed 13.4 points and 244.6 yards a game, and Russell has been sacked 11 times this season, four of them at Kentucky. Steady rain or a stiffer wind would hurt this bet most.
Russell has cleared this number in four of five games, and -119 implies a 54.3% chance. The 230 line costs -149; we'd rather take the better price at 240.
PICK #2: Lotzeir Brooks 50+ Receiving Yards (-124)
If Russell gets to 240, Brooks is the likeliest receiver to get a big share of it. He has reached 50 receiving yards in four straight games after a quiet opener. Most recent first:
4 catches for 96 yards at Mississippi State, with a long of 50
2 for 78 against South Carolina, including a 75-yard touchdown
8 for 101 against Florida State
5 for 54 at Kentucky
2 for 23 against East Carolina
His three best games are Alabama's last three, and the eight-catch, 101-yard day came in the 50-36 win over Florida State, the closest game Alabama has played.
Volume is the worry. Brooks caught two passes in two of his five games, and 75 of his 78 yards against South Carolina came on one play. Alabama spreads the ball around: Ryan Coleman-Williams has 376 receiving yards to Brooks's 352, and Rico Scott and Marshall Pritchett both get looks. If Georgia takes away the deep ball, Brooks could finish in the 30s or 40s on three or four catches.
The -124 price works out to 55.4%. The 60+ rung pays +128 and he has reached it in three of five games, but 50 asks for 10 fewer yards and has landed more often.
