French Open Tennis women’s singles winner picks

The second of the four Grand Slams on the annual tennis calendar, the French Open, gets underway on Sunday at Roland Garros in Paris, France. Whereas Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are absolutely massive favorites on the men’s side, four women come in with outright odds of +700 or better. Iga Swiatek remains among the favorites as a four-time champion, but her recent struggles have seemingly opened the door to La Coupe Suzanne Lenglen to a whole host of contenders.
Among those also in the mix are world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, former runner-up Coco Gauff and teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva. Jasmine Paolini, who lost to Swiatek in last year’s final, should also be part of the discussion following her recent triumph in Rome.
Let’s break down the odds and best bets to make for the French Open women’s singles event.
French Open women's singles odds
Based on her own recent form in addition to Swiatek’s apparent vulnerabilities, Sabalenka has established herself as a slight favorite. Swiatek is not far behind, after which the next group includes Gauff and Andreeva – and then there is a sizable gap.
Here is the short list of favorites:
- Aryna Sabalenka +225
- Iga Swiatek +300
- Coco Gauff +700
- Mirra Andreeva +700
- Jasmine Paolini +1600
- Qinwen Zheng +2200
- Jelena Ostapenko +3000
- Elena Rybakina +3000
- Elina Svitolina +3000
French Open Women's Singles Predictions
Pick #1: Coco Gauff to win the French Open (+700)
Pick #2: Mirra Andreeva to win the French Open (+700)
Pick #3: Elena Rybakina to win the French Open (+3000)
PICK #1: Coco Gauff to win the French Open (+700)
Gauff is an all-or-nothing kind of player – at least right now. Backing her as a sizable favorite in a single match probably isn’t a great idea since she can lose to just about anyone on any given day due to her occasional service woes. At the same time, Gauff may be the most talented player in women’s tennis; she can just as easily go all the way at any tournament. In recent weeks the good version of Gauff has been on display. The American finished runner-up in both Madrid and Rome, continuing to showcase her clay-court prowess. More good news is that as the No. 2 seed, Gauff is on the opposite side of the draw from Sabalenka.
PICK #2: Mirra Andreeva to win the French Open (+700)
It’s only a matter of time before Andreeva wins a Grand Slam title, and that time could be now. As a 16-year-old in 2023, she reached the French Open third round and the Wimbledon fourth round. At 17, she made a run all the way to the semifinals at Roland Garros. Twelve months later, Andreeva has cemented herself as a real contender. The Russian is up to No. 6 in the rankings and her 2025 campaign already features 1000-point titles in Dubai and Indian Wells. There is a ton to like about the teenager.
PICK #3: Elena Rybakina to win the French Open (+3000)
We haven’t seen odds this long on Rybakina at any Grand Slam since her rise up the rankings began in 2022, and it may be a long time before we see such odds again. It does make some sense since the Kazakh has not been at her best this season and clay in her worst surface – still, she has great value at +3000. Rybakina is a two-time French Open quarterfinalist and she currently finds herself in the Strasbourg semifinals, so it’s not like she struggles on clay. The 25-year-old is down at No. 12 in the world, but that is mainly due to injury issues earlier in 2025; when healthy, she has been a staple of the top four since winning Wimbledon three years ago.
