"College GameDay" is headed to Miami, Florida, on Saturday night for a marquee in-state clash between the Florida Gators and the Miami Hurricanes in Week 4 of the 2025 college football season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM ET on ABC from Hard Rock Stadium.

Miami dominated this rivalry last season with a 41-17 win in Gainesville, moving ahead 30-27 in the all-time series. Now the Hurricanes look to start 4-0 for the third straight year, something they haven’t done since their championship-era run from 2001–04. Florida, meanwhile, is reeling after back-to-back losses and faces an unforgiving schedule with three straight Top-10 opponents up next.

PICK #1: Miami Hurricanes -7.5 over Florida Gators (-110)

Miami enters this matchup 3-0, fresh off a dominant 49-12 win over USF, while Florida has lost two straight, including a turnover-riddled showing at LSU and a massive upset at home to the USF team Miami just pounded. Sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway threw 5 interceptions last week, and while his talent is undeniable, he hasn’t developed chemistry with this offense after a disrupted offseason. That’s bad news against a Miami defense loaded with playmakers in the secondary and disruptive pass rushers like Rueben Bain Jr. and Akheem Mesidor.

The Hurricanes’ offensive line has also been among the best in the country, giving quarterback Carson Beck ample time to operate. Beck currently ranks fourth in FBS in QBR, and Miami’s balance between passing and rushing has made them one of the most efficient attacks in the nation. Florida’s offensive line should be the best unit Miami has faced, but if the Gators fall behind early, the “quit factor” could creep in with a daunting schedule looming.

Florida’s defense has been solid, allowing just 38 points over its last two games despite all the offensive turnovers, but Miami’s combination of balance, depth and protection in the trenches should be enough to cover.

PICK #2: Under 51.5 Total Points (-110)

On paper, Miami’s offense is explosive, averaging more than 50 points per game through three weeks. But Florida’s defense has quietly held its own, ranking 26th nationally by giving up fewer than 13 points per game on average. Even in the LSU loss, the Gators kept it close despite 5 giveaways.

The Gators’ path to hanging around is leaning on their offensive line and trying to establish Jadan Baugh on the ground, which would shorten the game and limit Lagway’s turnovers. Expect fewer deep shots against Miami’s elite secondary and more conservative play-calling to avoid another collapse.

Meanwhile, Miami’s offense should move the ball efficiently, but this isn’t likely to be a runaway scoring contest. Florida is still too talented on defense to completely fold, and Miami’s coaching staff knows the value of leaning on the ground game once they build a lead.

With the Gators’ struggling offense and Miami’s ability to control tempo, this matchup profiles as another under. The total stays under 51.5 with Miami pulling away late.

PICK #3: Mark Fletcher Jr. (Miami) Over 79.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

While Carson Beck deserves headlines for his hot start, Miami’s ground game has been just as important. Junior running back Mark Fletcher Jr. has 272 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns through three games, ranking third in the ACC in yards. He’s averaging 6.5 yards per carry and coming off a 120-yard performance on just 16 carries against USF.

Florida’s defensive front has shown cracks against the run, giving up 93 yards to LSU’s Caden Durham last week after he managed just 28 the week before against Louisiana Tech. Fletcher failed to top 80 yards against Notre Dame in the opener, but his workload is steady, and in a game where Miami should be leading in the second half, the touches will be there.

With Miami’s dominant offensive line opening holes, Fletcher has the strength to grind between the tackles and the speed to break a long one. Expect him to clear this rushing line with relative comfort.
