Fever vs. Aces Prediction, WNBA Playoffs Game 3 Odds & Best Bets (10/1)

Fact checked at 8:17 AM ET, Oct 1, 2026
Odds as of Oct 1, 7:30 AM ET
One game decides it. The sixth-seeded Indiana Fever (28-16) and third-seeded Las Vegas Aces (31-13) split the first two games of their best-of-three first-round series, and Thursday's winner gets the Golden State-Dallas winner in the semifinals. Las Vegas took Game 1 at home on Sunday, 102-85, as A'ja Wilson put up 38 points and 16 rebounds. Indiana answered on Tuesday in Indianapolis, 99-89. Caitlin Clark had 27 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds, Kelsey Mitchell scored 26 and Aliyah Boston added 22.
Las Vegas is -4.5 (-110) in the consensus, right where the spread opened. The moneyline has stretched from about -170 at the open to Aces -185, with the Fever at +154. The total opened 181.5 and is 181 now (Over -108, Under -113). Both teams have made the Las Vegas-Indianapolis round trip with one day between games.
Clark (back) and Boston (right lower leg) were listed as probable on Wednesday's status report, so both are expected to play. Both started the first two games. Indiana is without Tyasha Harris (left leg) and Damiris Dantas (knee).
Tip-off is 9:00 PM ET Thursday at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, on USA Network and CNBC.
Fever vs. Aces Predictions
- Pick #1: Aces -4.5 (-110)
- Pick #2: Over 181 (-108)
- Pick #3: Stephanie Talbot Over 5.5 Points (-129)
PICK #1: Aces -4.5 (-110)
Las Vegas covered this exact number with room to spare in Game 1, and the deciding game is back in its building.
That Sunday blowout was the Aces' offense at full volume: 38-of-64 shooting, 24 assists, a 62-47 lead at the half. Wilson went 15-of-19. They averaged 91.5 points across 44 regular-season games, second in the league. Even the Game 2 loss had something in it for Aces backers. Las Vegas went 30-of-34 at the line and Jackie Young scored 31. The home split helps too: the Aces were 15-7 at home in the regular season, the Fever 13-9 on the road.
The spread hasn't budged off 4.5 as of 7:30 AM ET, and the Aces' moneyline has drifted from about -170 to -185. Las Vegas has 68% of the spread bets and 60% of the money. If you can find one of the few books dealing 3.5 at about -118, take it.
Don't dismiss Indiana. The Fever were the only team that scored more per game than the Aces this season (96.0), and they've won three of the five meetings in 2026, including 84-68 and 109-75 in Las Vegas in July. They beat the Aces 58-26 in the paint on Tuesday. If Clark and Boston play their usual minutes, which is what the probable tags point to, this is the same Fever lineup that just won by 10. And with most of the spread tickets already on Las Vegas, nobody should mistake this for a contrarian play.
If you'd rather not lay the points, the Aces moneyline was -185 at 7:30 AM ET.
PICK #2: Over 181 (-108)
The first two games went 187 and 188. Now the two highest-scoring teams in the league need to combine for 182.
Indiana scored 96.0 a game this season to lead the WNBA, and Las Vegas was right behind at 91.5 (44 games each). The defenses don't scare anyone. The Fever gave up 90.4 per game, 11th of 15, and the Aces gave up 85.8, sixth. It's only two games, but both came with the same ten starters both teams are expected to use Thursday, and they got there in different ways. Game 1 was the Aces shooting 59%. Game 2 was 58 combined free-throw attempts and three Fever players with 20 or more.
It opened 181.5 and is 181 in the 7:30 AM ET consensus. A handful of books have 180.5, if you want the extra half point.
This one needs Indiana's stars more than the spread pick does. Clark and Boston are probable, not cleared, and the total assumes normal minutes for both. Look at the regular-season finale at Minnesota: Clark played 18 minutes, Boston left after 13, and Indiana scored 66. The public is all over the Over, with 76% of the bets and 80% of the money, and the number has still slipped half a point. The season series doesn't settle it either. The July 5 game ended 84-68 and the Aug. 6 game 86-84 in overtime, both well short of 182, while the July 12 game got to 184.
The two picks line up. Something like a 96-88 Las Vegas win covers the spread and goes over.
PICK #3: Stephanie Talbot Over 5.5 Points (-129)
Talbot has started the Aces' last five games and scored eight or more in four of them.
Her last five, newest first: 9, 8, 14, 14, 2. The 9 and 8 came in Games 2 and 1 of this series, in 27 and 28 minutes. She had 14 at Phoenix in the regular-season finale (6-of-6 in 31 minutes) and 14 against Los Angeles (6-of-8 in 25). The 2 came on Sept. 20 against Seattle, when she played 16 minutes. She hasn't played fewer than 25 since. In the series she has taken six and eight shots and gone to the line six times.
Dana Evans is out, and that doesn't cut into a forward's minutes. Evans sat out Game 2 and the Phoenix game and isn't in the Game 1 box score either, and Talbot played 27, 31 and 28 minutes in those three. She's in the projected starting five again. Indiana ranks 11th of 15 in points allowed.
The downside is the usual one with a low-volume scorer. She gets her points on six to eight shots, she had five fouls in Game 2, and one cold night puts her under 5.5. -129 implies 56.3%, which isn't cheap. She also depends on the same Aces offense as the other two picks, so a flat night from Las Vegas could sink all three.
We also looked at A'ja Wilson Under 10.5 Rebounds (-110) and Jackie Young Over 6.5 Assists (-119). Each came in four times over those same five games, but Wilson had 16 boards in Game 1 and Young had five assists in Game 2. Talbot's prop is the only one of the three that held in both games against Indiana, so we went with it. If you want something that doesn't need the Aces to score, Wilson's rebounds Under is the one to look at.
