Delaware Betting Sites, Apps & Guide

Delaware was the first state outside Nevada to take a legal single-game sports bet, in June 2018, but online betting took another five years. Since December 2023 the Delaware Lottery has run one online sportsbook through the state's three casinos, and no other online sportsbook is licensed here.
Below is our list of the best Delaware apps, and how to sign up with the Lottery's sportsbook. Further down are the age and college rules, how winnings are taxed and the questions we get most.

Sports betting law in Delaware
Delaware's sports lottery law dates from 2009. Federal law limited the state to NFL parlay cards until the Supreme Court struck down the federal ban in May 2018. Delaware did not need a new law after that, and its three casinos started taking single-game bets on June 5, 2018.
The Delaware Lottery controls all of it. Online gaming has been legal since the Delaware Gaming Competitiveness Act of 2012, and in December 2023 the Lottery moved its online casinos to a new operator and added an online sportsbook at the same time. Lawmakers have proposed opening the market to more apps, but none of those bills has passed.
Delaware teams to bet on
Delaware has no major league pro teams, and its own college teams are off the board here.
- Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens (Conference USA): Moved up to the FBS in 2025 and played in the 68 Ventures Bowl in their first season. Blue Hens games can't be bet in Delaware.
- Delaware State Hornets (FCS): Dover's college football team, also off the board in the state.
- Delaware Blue Coats (NBA G League): The Philadelphia 76ers' affiliate, based in Wilmington.
- NASCAR at Dover: Dover Motor Speedway hosted the NASCAR All-Star Race on May 17, 2026.
