Underdog started out in 2020 as a Best Ball and Pick'em app. Since July 2026 it has also run a sports prediction market on its own exchange, Underdog Exchange (UDX), regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Moneylines, spreads, totals and player picks now trade as event contracts in the same app as the drafts.

Prediction markets on Underdog's own exchange

Every market is a contract priced between 1 cent and $1, and the price is the probability. A contract at 63 cents means the market gives that outcome about a 63% chance. If you are right, each contract pays $1. You can sell out of a position before the game ends when cash out is offered, and the slip shows the small exchange fee before you confirm. Underdog owns the exchange and the brokerage, so the trade never leaves the app.

Combos

You can put a team outcome and a fantasy player pick on the same entry. Back a side on the moneyline and pair it with a quarterback going higher on passing yards from one slip. Combos only appear in states where both products are live.

Pick'em and Drafts

Classic Pick'em pays fixed multipliers for calling player projections higher or lower, with a Flex option that softens a miss. In some states it runs as Pick'em Champions and you play other users for a share of the pool. Drafts cover daily slates, playoff formats and Best Ball, where you draft once and the app starts your best scorers every week. Once you have joined Underdog, the lobby only shows the modes that are live in your state.

Keep Your Million

Underdog hands every new user a virtual $1,000,000 and 20 higher-or-lower questions. Split the pot between the two sides on each question and keep what lands on the winning side. Whatever survives all 20 picks is yours in bonus funds. It costs nothing, which makes it a good way to learn the app before you deposit.

Rips and Crash

Banking at Underdog

Deposit from $10 by Trustly online banking, debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or Venmo after you register. Prediction picks can only be funded by card, Apple Pay or Trustly, so start with one of those if you plan to trade. The name on the payment method has to match your account.

FAQs

Can I use Underdog on my phone and my computer?

Yes. There are iPhone and Android apps and a web app, and the same account and balance work on all three.

Is Underdog safe and regulated?

Yes. The prediction markets trade on Underdog Exchange, a designated contract market and clearinghouse regulated by the CFTC, through a registered futures commission merchant. Fantasy contests are licensed state by state. Money in your trading account is covered by CFTC customer protection rules, and the app has deposit and entry limits, cool-off periods and self-exclusion.

Do I pay tax on my winnings?

Yes. Winnings from contracts and contests are taxable income in the United States, and Underdog reports what the law requires. Ask a tax professional if you are unsure.

How old do I need to be?

You must be 18 or older for prediction picks and be physically in an eligible state. The app-wide minimum is 19 in Alabama and Nebraska, 19 in Colorado for some games, and 21 in Arizona, Massachusetts and Virginia.

How fast are payouts?

Underdog processes withdrawal requests within 48 to 72 hours. PayPal is usually the quickest to arrive after that, and Trustly bank transfers can take up to three business days to post.

What is the difference between a prediction pick and a Pick'em entry?
