Sunday Night Football: Best Bet, Best Prop & a +230 Parlay

We've taken a deep dive into the Sunday Night Football matchup between Los Angeles Chargers and San Francisco 49ers. We've come up with a Best Bet, a Best Prop and a +230 Same Game Parlay.

Best Bet

The Chargers head into this one 5-3 off the back of a 20-17 win against the Falcons. The same team that only three games ago the 49ers lost to by 14 points. The 49ers have been strong on defense, giving up the least amount of yards on average of any team. But that is due to their ability to restrict rushing teams. They are much weaker when it comes to restricting passing yards (ranked 15th). This is where the Justin Herbert led offense attack, and are the 4th ranked team in the league. Herbert in fact is tied with Andrew Luck for the most 300-yard performances through their first five seasons since 1950 with 19 in 40 games. We think the Chargers can cover this relatively large line. Ben (55-29 and 42% ROI) is taking the Chargers at +7.5.

As we mentioned, Justin Herbert has a close to 50% hit rate on games with passing yards of 300. His last four weeks have been below (245, 293, 238 and 228), but we’re betting that he will return to his mean here and go back over the 252 yard line he’s been set. One further stat line that gives us further confidence is that he loves strutting his stuff against strong teams away. He’s recorded over 281+ yards in the 6 of the last 7 games played as road underdogs.
