Brooklyn Nets @ Philadelphia 76ers
Best Bet
The 8-9 Nets come up against the 8-8 76ers in what is shaping as a spicy encounter in Philadelphia. In the last three games, the Nets have started to shape into the team they promised to be. Kevin Durant has been the Nets top scorer in 11 games in a row, not dropping below 26 points in any of these. Simmons has started to hit the scoreboard and contribute on the boards. The return of Kyrie Irving is a massive who had 14 points and grabbed five rebounds in 26 minutes Sunday night as the Nets defeated the Grizzlies. We think they'll cover here.
Pick: Nets -7.5
Best Prop
Simmons had his third straight good individual performance last time out in what was easily his best game since the end of the 2020-21 NBA season. Against the Grizzlies he finished with 22 points on 11-for-13 shooting along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists in Brooklyn's 127-115 victory. We think he is going to start consistently delivering around his career averages of 8.0 Rebounds a game, 7.6 Assists and 15.6 Points per game. While he is sure to get some extra attention from his old team, we’re betting he can have another solid night out. We like the Simmons 6.5 Rebound line.
Pick: Ben Simmons Over 6.5 Rebounds
Detroit Pistons @ Denver Nuggets
The Pistons head into this one at 3-15, and not having a win in eight outings. Our Algorithm is seeing value though. It calculates a 9.7% +EV Edge at the time on the Pistons Moneyline.
Pick: Pistons Moneyline
Los Angeles Lakers @ Phoenix Suns
Best Bet
The Lakers are on a roll, winning their 3rd game in a roll. Our Algorithm thinks this can keep going, and is seeing a 4.5% +EV Edge on the Lakers Moneyline.
Pick: Lakers Moneyline
Best Prop
The Lakers are largely being led by a resurgent Anthony Davis. He’s produced three straight 30-point games for the first time since March 2020, and seems to be flourishing without LeBron James on the floor.
“AD, he has to be the focal point,” Lakers coach Darvin Ham said. “He has to spearhead the charge. That's the way we're built. He's embraced it. When Bron gets back, if AD can sustain that level, we're going to be as good as our preparation makes us.”
With Davis being central to their strategy, we think he can have another night out here against a solid yet hardly dominating 10-6 Suns.
Pick: Anthony Davis Over 30 Points
