Take a deep dive into Virginia @ Miami on Tuesday

No. 22 Miami hosts No. 6 Virginia on Tuesday night in college hoops.
The No. 6 Virginia Cavaliers will visit the No. 22 Miami Hurricanes in what should be a great showdown on Tuesday night.
The 11-1 Hurricanes will be a home underdog tonight after Isaiah Wong scored 22 points in an easy win over Saint Francis last week. Miami is a perfect 8-0 at home thus far and will face a test in Virginia’s defense, which ranks second in the ACC allowing just 59.1 points per game on 40 percent shooting.
Miami’s Wong is averaging 16.7 points, 4.4 assists and 1.9 steals for the Hurricanes and Jordan Miller checks in at 15.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Jayden Gardner averages 11.8 points and 6.3 rebounds for the Cavs and teammate Kihei Clark averages 11.3 points per game.
Virginia is coming off its first and only loss of the season against Houston and is just 3-6 against the spread this season. Miami is not only undefeated at home but also 4-2 against the spread over its last six games. Miami’s efficient offense will be tested by Virginia’s stout defense tonight but the home-court advantage should certainly work in their favor. The Canes are shooting 48.7 percent from the floor this season.
Miami has only lost once this season, an 88-70 affair against Maryland, but the Terps couldn’t miss in that one, hitting a ridiculous 60 percent of their shots and 43 percent from beyond the arc. The Oddscrowd Algorithm is seeing a 6.5 “Plus Expected Value” on Virginia on the money line but I like the Hurricanes and the points with a possibility of staying undefeated at home against a UVA squad hoping to bounce back.
Pick: Miami +3.5
