Steelers vs Chargers NFL Week 10 SNF Picks

Week 10 of the 2025 NFL season wraps up Sunday night with an AFC clash on the West Coast. The Pittsburgh Steelers head to SoFi Stadium to face the Los Angeles Chargers under the primetime lights, as both teams look to keep pace in the playoff hunt.

Pittsburgh enters at 5–3, sitting atop the AFC North behind quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who’s brought a new level of poise to this offense. The Steelers’ defense has been inconsistent for most of the year, but showed flashes of its old self last week.

Los Angeles comes in at 6–3 with Jim Harbaugh in his second year at the helm. The Chargers have battled major injuries up front, losing both starting tackles Rashawn Slater and rookie Joe Alt. However, they have still found a way to stay afloat in the AFC West conversation.

Kickoff is set for 8:20 pm ET on NBC with Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth on the call. Both teams have plenty at stake, setting up what could be one of the more intriguing Sunday night matchups of the year.

Let’s break down the matchup and highlight three betting angles worth a look before kickoff.

Steelers vs Chargers Predictions

Pick #1: Pittsburgh Steelers +3 over LA Chargers (-110)

Pick #2: Over 45.5 (-110)

Pick #3: Quentin Johnston (LAC) over 43.5 receiving yards (-115)

Pick #1: Steelers +3 over Chargers (-110)

This feels like the kind of game tailor-made for Aaron Rodgers. The Steelers are underdogs on the road, but Rodgers’ experience and ability to control tempo make them a dangerous opponent in a tight contest. Pittsburgh’s offense has been solid this season with a good rushing attack led by Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell, while Rodgers has utilized many different tight ends and DK Metcalf on the outside for big gains.

The Chargers have shown grit despite their injuries, but missing both starting tackles is tough against a defense that can still bring pressure from the edges. T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith could make life uncomfortable for Herbert, especially if the Chargers are forced into obvious passing downs. In a matchup where both teams are evenly matched, taking the points with Rodgers feels like the right call. On top of getting the points, the Chargers will not have a true home-field advantage because the Steelers fans travel very well.

Pick #2: Over 45.5 (-110)

The ingredients are here for a higher-scoring game, as both defenses have struggled at times this season. The Chargers have found ways to create explosive plays despite their offensive line and running back injuries thanks to a strong passing game led by Justin Herbert. Herbert is like a point guard out there, distributing the ball to Keenan Allen, Quentin Johnston, Ladd McConkey and rookie tight end Orande Gadsden. That does not bode well for a Pittsburgh secondary that has surrendered big yardage to opposing wideouts all year – the most in the NFL, in fact.

As for the Steelers, their passing game is starting to click with Rodgers getting more comfortable in the system. Rodgers should have success attacking Los Angeles’ safeties with his multitude of tight ends and DK Metcalf on the outside. Blend that with a good running game, and that is how they have scored at least 25 points in three straight games. Indoors at SoFi, in perfect conditions, this game has the potential to open up in the second half. Something in the range of 30–27 feels very realistic, making the over a solid play.

Pick #3: Quentin Johnston (LAC) over 43.5 receiving yards (-115)

There are so many weapons on this Chargers offense; it makes it hard for defenses to key on one wide receiver. With that being the case, Johnston came out firing out of the gate this season, starting with four straight games of at least 70 yards and a total of four touchdowns. He has since then been quiet while battling an injury, only topping 50 yards once – which was last week against the Titans.

The matchup for Johnston this week could not be better. The Steelers have allowed the most receiving yards to wide receivers this season and have especially been beaten up by outside wide receivers. Even if he sees limited targets, Johnston has the explosiveness to clear this number with just a few catches. Expect Harbaugh and Herbert to test Pittsburgh’s secondary early and often, giving Johnston multiple opportunities to make an impact. Over 43.5 yards feels very attainable in this matchup.
