The Spurs look like the more confident team entering Game 5 after their blowout win in Game 4. San Antonio played with energy defensively, controlled the paint, and never allowed Oklahoma City to get comfortable offensively. That type of performance can completely shift the feel of a playoff series, especially with the matchup now turning into a best-of-three.

Even though Oklahoma City has been excellent at home all season, the Spurs already showed earlier in this series that they can win on the Thunder’s floor. The Thunder finished the regular season with one of the league’s best home records, 34-7, but they were far less reliable against the spread in those games, 19-23. San Antonio’s length has clearly bothered Oklahoma City throughout this series, particularly when Wembanyama is protecting the rim and forcing difficult shots.

The Thunder still have the star power to bounce back, but this number feels a bit too high considering how competitive this series has been overall. Conference Finals games often slow down late in a series, but both of these teams are still playing fast enough offensively and generating quality looks consistently. Victor Wembanyama continues to dominate this series and is coming off another huge performance in Game 4, where he poured in 33 points while controlling the game defensively as well. Through four games in this series, Wembanyama is averaging 30 points and 13 rebounds while continuing to prove why he’s already one of the toughest matchups in basketball.

Everything offensively and defensively for San Antonio revolves around Wembanyama right now, especially in competitive games. Whether he’s scoring inside, stretching the floor, or crashing the glass, Oklahoma City has struggled to consistently slow him down for four quarters. His size advantage and ability to impact every possession make him incredibly difficult to defend without sending extra help.

If the Spurs are going to steal another road win tonight, Wembanyama will almost certainly need to deliver another massive performance. Given the workload he’s carrying and the way he’s controlled this series so far, backing him to clear this number feels like one of the strongest player props on the board for Game 5.
