Ravens vs. Bills Prediction, NFL Week 8 Odds & Best Bets (11/1)

Fact checked at 8:20 AM ET, Nov 1, 2026
Odds as of 7:28 AM ET, Nov 1, 2026
The Ravens (4-3) visit the Bills (5-1) at 1:00 PM ET on CBS at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, with Lamar Jackson back after missing three games with an ankle sprain. We expect a shootout that Buffalo wins by more than a field goal, which gets us to the Bills, the Over and a Baltimore receiver who should get chances while his team chases.
Jackson has no injury designation after three full practices and calls the pain "bearable." Buffalo is without suspended safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and DJ Moore, Dalton Kincaid and Spencer Brown are questionable. The forecast is mid-60s with light wind and almost no chance of rain. Neither team has played more than seven games, so the records below only go so far.
Ravens vs. Bills Predictions
- Pick #1: Bills -3.5 (-107)
- Pick #2: Over 54.5 (-108)
- Pick #3: Rashod Bateman Over 25.5 Receiving Yards (-112)
PICK #1: Bills -3.5 (-107)
Baltimore has been outscored 48-0 in the second halves of its last two games, including five straight Cincinnati touchdown drives in a 35-13 loss. Getting Jackson back helps the offense, not that. Buffalo averages 32.8 points a game, first in the league. James Cook has 627 rushing yards and six touchdowns at 5.4 a carry, and Josh Allen has eight rushing touchdowns. The Ravens allow 23.9 a game, 18th, and the Bills had a bye to prepare. We'll pay -107, an implied 51.7%.
Buffalo has covered 3.5 in three of six games, and its last two wins, 33-30 at Las Vegas and 37-34 at the Rams, were by exactly three. Either one loses here, and a few books still hang -3 at a higher price. Baltimore has 62% of the spread bets and 70% of the money. Moore hasn't played since Week 4, though he says he expects to, and coach Joe Brady says Brown can suit up without practicing.
PICK #2: Over 54.5 (-108)
Buffalo's games have totaled 72, 67, 71, 63, 55 and 40, and it has allowed at least 29 points in five of six. The defense ranks 30th in points allowed at 28.5 a game and 31st in passing yards allowed at 285.8, with 15 touchdown passes given up. Coordinator Jim Leonhard went into the bye saying, "There's too many times where we look confused."
Now the secondary is shuffled. Damar Hamlin starts for Gardner-Johnson, nickel Dee Alford is questionable after missing the last two practices of the week, and the Bills signed Te'Cory Couch and elevated Geno Stone and AJ Woods for this game. Here's Brady on the nickel spot: "these are things you don't have to think about when Dee's out there."
Jackson is what makes Baltimore's half of this work. The Ravens averaged 29 points in his four starts and 17.7 in Tyler Huntley's three, and both of their games over 54.5 came with Jackson (64 points against Indianapolis, 65 against Dallas). That's two of seven overall. Last season's meeting, a 41-40 Bills win, went past its 51.5 total, for what one game is worth.
At -108 you're paying for a 51.9% chance, on a total that has come up a point or two since it opened. Bettors are on it too, with 81% of the bets and 84% of the money. Jackson's ankle still hurts, right guard Vega Ioane is out, Ed Oliver is back on Buffalo's line for the first time since Week 4, and Buffalo did win a 24-16 game against the Chargers. If Jackson doesn't play, the case is gone.
PICK #3: Rashod Bateman Over 25.5 Receiving Yards (-112)
If Buffalo scores like this, Baltimore has to throw, and Bateman played 73% of the snaps last week. He has cleared 25.5 in five of seven games, with 88, 62, 46, 37 and 33. We can live with the two misses: one target in a 41-23 win at Indianapolis, and Cleveland, where he left before halftime with a shoulder injury. He isn't on the injury report now. Zay Flowers lines up in the slot on more than half his snaps, where Buffalo is thinnest, and attention there should leave room outside. That's 52.8% implied at -112.
There isn't much volume to lean on. Bateman has had four targets or fewer in five of seven games, the 37 and 46 came on two catches each, and rookie Ja'Kobi Lane is back from injured reserve. Last season he had 224 yards in 13 games and topped this number twice, so the case rests on this season's seven games. If Jackson sits, it's gone.
