Rams vs Bears NFL Divisional Round Picks

Wild Card Weekend delivered on its promise of excitement with a myriad of excellent games over the course of the weekend, and both the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears needed fourth-quarter comebacks to advance to this Divisional Round matchup in the NFC. 

This week’s game will be played in Chicago, at Soldier Field, with kickoff set for 6:30 pm ET on NBC on Sunday. This contest features a Rams team looking to get back to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2022, while the Bears are looking to keep their magical season going following a harrowing victory against the Packers in the final seconds last week. 

With both teams looking to make a statement on this massive stage, let’s dive into our expert’s Rams vs Bears predictions and best bets for this Divisional Round showdown.

Rams vs Bears Predictions

PICK #1: Rams -3.5 (-110)

A week ago, our expert was confident in backing Green Bay and fading a Bears defense that had struggled against quality competition all season long. That was once again the case against the Packers, but Caleb Williams and company were able to pull off yet another miraculous comeback. The victory marked the seventh time that the Bears have won a game this season after trailing with just two minutes remaining, but we can expect a different result this week against a Rams team that should be focused and ready to make the necessary adjustments needed to avoid a similar fate as Green Bay. 

Matthew Stafford and this Sean McVay offense should be able to see consistent success throughout this game against a Bears defense that just surrendered four passing touchdowns to Jordan Love and a banged-up Packers wide receiving corps. On the other side of the ball, the Rams defense didn’t put forth its best showing against the Panthers a week ago, but this is still a unit that should be able to generate pressure and force Williams into a few mistakes. Ultimately, let’s back the Rams to call on their championship experience and knock off the Bears by at least four points on Sunday. 

PICK #2: Under 48.5 Total Points (-110)

While we would typically look toward a higher-scoring game between these two high-powered offenses, the forecast is not going to be kind to either offense in this one. At the time of writing, temperatures are expected to be in the upper teens on Sunday evening, with sustained wind gusts of anywhere from 13 to 23 miles per hour. 

Needless to say, it could be hard for both offenses to throw the ball, and each head coach has shown a willingness to stick to the ground game and not force the issue. That should be the case on Sunday, which will likely lead to drives that feature fewer explosive plays and more of an emphasis on field position and making things as difficult as possible for the opposing offense. Let’s roll with the under in Chicago. 

PICK #3: Kyren Williams Over 60.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

As previously mentioned, temperatures are going to be frigid for Sunday’s game, and both coaches should look to lean into running the ball as a result. With that in mind, RB Kyren Williams should see plenty of work out of the Rams' backfield, and he has a favorable matchup against a below-average Bears run defense that ranks 24th in EPA per rush allowed. 

Williams has cleared this total in 14 of his 18 games played this season, so let’s trust the Los Angeles running back to remain consistent in this one.
