Odds as of 7:12 AM ET, Nov 8, 2026

The Raiders visit the 49ers in Santa Clara, with kickoff at 4:25 PM ET. San Francisco (6-1) comes off its bye as a 9.5-point favorite. Las Vegas (4-4) beat the Jets 38-33 last time out to end a four-game losing streak. We think the 49ers' offense, fifth in the league at 28.1 points per game, puts the Raiders in a chase, and Kirk Cousins has to keep throwing to stay close. Las Vegas has allowed 27 or more points in six straight games, and its passing game has carried it all season. Both picks come from Cousins' arm.

San Francisco is thin at receiver. Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel Sr. and Christian Kirk are ruled out. Christian McCaffrey practiced in full and carries no designation, and Nick Bosa is back from a calf injury that cost him five games. Bettors expect points, with 60% of the bets on the total and 54% of the money on the Over.

Raiders vs. 49ers Predictions

  • Pick #1: Kirk Cousins Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-117)
  • Pick #2: Michael Mayer Over 28.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

PICK #1: Kirk Cousins Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-117)

Cousins has thrown at least two touchdown passes in seven of his eight starts. He has 19 on the season, second in the league, and the Raiders rank second in passing touchdowns as a team. His one miss came in the 45-17 loss in New England, and he still threw one there.

At -117, the book is pricing this at 53.9%. Seven of eight is a long way above that, and this matchup gives no reason to expect a dip. San Francisco allows 223.9 passing yards a game. Brock Bowers gives Cousins a target near the goal line, with five touchdown catches in six games and at least 70 receiving yards in every one. If the 49ers score the way they usually do against a defense this soft, Las Vegas will be throwing late.

What beats this is a slow game. Bosa is back on the edge, and if San Francisco keeps handing it to McCaffrey and drains the clock, Cousins gets fewer possessions. He's first on the depth chart and isn't on the injury report, but he's the projected starter, not a confirmed one, and this pick depends on him.

PICK #2: Michael Mayer Over 28.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Mayer has gone over 28.5 receiving yards in six of eight games, and in five of the six Bowers has played. His yards this season, newest first: 53, 32, 95, 2, 82, 32, 23 and 32. Eight games in, he already has career highs with 36 catches and 351 yards. His 84% catch rate ranks third among tight ends with at least 25 targets, and he's played at least 65% of the offensive snaps in every game.

The price of -114 works out to 53.3%. San Francisco's secondary is banged up too: cornerbacks Upton Stout and Nate Hobbs and defensive back Siran Neal are all questionable.

Volume is the problem. Three of his games stopped at 32 yards, barely over this line, and he caught one pass for two yards in the New England blowout. If the targets go to Bowers and Tre Tucker, or Bosa's pressure forces Cousins to get rid of it elsewhere, Mayer comes up short. He needs Cousins under center as well.
