Odds as of 6:13 AM ET, Nov 5, 2026

Nashville beat Colorado 6-2 at home earlier this season, and the rematch is at Ball Arena with puck drop at 9:30 PM ET. Colorado (9-6-1) split a road back-to-back in its last two games, winning 5-2 in Chicago and then losing 7-2 in Columbus. Nashville (6-4-5) beat Carolina 4-1 at home its last time out. We expect goals, and we expect them from the top of both lineups. Colorado's first line and first power play keep scoring, Steven Stamkos keeps shooting from Nashville's top line, and Gabriel Landeskog, who plays further down Colorado's depth chart, stays quiet.

Colorado is a heavy home favorite at -220, with Nashville at +180. The total is 6.5 and the Over is -105. Juuse Saros is expected to start for Nashville and Mackenzie Blackwood for Colorado, but neither start has been confirmed.

Predators vs. Avalanche Predictions

  • Pick #1: Over 6.5 (-105)
  • Pick #2: Steven Stamkos Over 1.5 Shots on Goal (-195)
  • Pick #3: Gabriel Landeskog Under 1.5 Shots on Goal (-115)

PICK #1: Over 6.5 (-105)

Colorado's last five games have all had at least seven goals: 7-2 in Columbus, 5-2 in Chicago, 5-2 over Calgary, 5-2 over New Jersey and the 6-2 loss in Nashville. The Avalanche score 4.12 goals a game, second in the league, so on an average night they get more than halfway to this number by themselves. Nashville scores 3.07 a game and had six against this team in that first meeting.

The defenses don't push back much. Colorado gives up 3.31 goals a game (19th) and Nashville 3.20 (16th). The Over has 98% of the money on 80% of the bets, and -105 implies 51.2%.

A goalie stealing the night is the main threat. Saros and Blackwood are both projected, not confirmed, and a big game from either one could hold this to six.

PICK #2: Steven Stamkos Over 1.5 Shots on Goal (-195)

At -195 (66.1% implied) we wanted more than a hot week, and Stamkos has the longer record. He put at least two shots on goal in 62 of 82 games last season, about 76%. This season he has done it in 10 of 15, with 36 shots in all.

His job is the same one that produced those numbers. Nashville's latest line combinations have him on the top line with Ryan O'Reilly and Mavrik Bourque and on the first power-play unit with Filip Forsberg, O'Reilly, Bourque and Roman Josi. He had six shots and then three in his last two games, and he scored twice on four shots in the earlier win over Colorado. Last season he put seven and five shots on the Avalanche in two of his four games against them.

This isn't a bargain. All five of his misses this season were nights of one shot or none, and one quiet road game beats it.

PICK #3: Gabriel Landeskog Under 1.5 Shots on Goal (-115)

Colorado's goals come from its top line and first power play, not from Landeskog. He plays on the second line with Nazem Kadri and Nicolas Roy and on the second power-play unit, while Nathan MacKinnon, Martin Necas and Cale Makar run the first.

Look at the same five-game run that backs the Over. Every one of those games had seven goals or more, and Landeskog had 0, 0, 1, 1 and 0 shots, including one shot on a night the Avalanche put 45 on New Jersey. He has one shot or fewer in 12 of 16 games this season and 17 shots in total. The -115 price implies 53.5%.

He shot more last season, clearing this number in 39 of 58 games, but he also played more. He's averaging about 15 minutes this season and under 14 over his last five. A move to the first power play would change that.
