Magic vs. Suns Prediction, NBA Odds & Best Bets (11/5)

Odds as of 6:06 AM ET, Nov 5, 2026
Orlando starts a four-game West Coast trip at Mortgage Matchup Center at 9:00 PM ET, and the schedule did it a favor. Phoenix is 1-5 and on the second night of a back-to-back after Portland beat it 132-119 at home in its last game. Orlando is 2-5 but has had two days off since losing to Washington. We think the Magic grind out a lower-scoring road win against a tired home team, so we're on Orlando's moneyline and the Under.
Orlando is still without Paolo Banchero (right high ankle sprain), Jalen Suggs (right knee bone bruise), Jonathan Isaac, Noah Penda and Izaiyah Nelson, all out on the latest league report. Phoenix's availability is the open question. Devin Booker scored 33 against Portland but took a hit to the face late in the third quarter, went to the locker room and came back early in the fourth. Afterward he said he wasn't sure what was going on with him.
Magic vs. Suns Predictions
- Pick #1: Magic Moneyline (-104)
- Pick #2: Under 223.5 (-110)
PICK #1: Magic Moneyline (-104)
Start with the Phoenix defense. The Suns have allowed 124.3 points a game, and Portland's 132 made it five straight games in which they gave up at least 116. Now they play for the second time in two nights, after Booker logged 34 minutes and Jalen Green 32 against Portland.
Orlando has been a different team on the road. It is 0-4 at home and 2-1 away, and both wins, 121-114 in Toronto and 111-102 in New York, came without Banchero. Rest matters here too: Orlando had two days off, and Phoenix had none.
Most of the moneyline money (83%) is on Orlando from 57% of the bets. At -104 the Magic need to win 51.0% of the time to break even, and a rested road team against a tired 1-5 opponent should get there.
What could sink it is Orlando's own offense. The Magic average 105.7 points, near the bottom of the league, and scored 97 and 94 in their last two games. They also turn it over 17.3 times a game, which hands a bad defense easy points. If Booker can't go, Phoenix loses its best scorer and this pick gets better.
PICK #2: Under 223.5 (-110)
Orlando hasn't been scoring enough to push this total over. The Magic have topped 111 once in their last five games, and four of their seven games have finished under 223.5. The last two came in at 205 total points against Boston and 197 against Washington.
The win we expect looks more like 112-106 than a shootout. Phoenix scores 113.3 points a game, middle of the pack, and it plays on tired legs. The Under has 56% of the money from only 35% of the bets, and -110 implies a 52.4% chance.
Phoenix is why this isn't easy. Its last five games all went over this number, with the Suns allowing 122, 125, 127, 116 and 132. Our answer is Orlando's offense: with Phoenix at its 113.3 average, the Magic would need about 111 to send this over, and they've topped that once in five games. Orlando's two road wins finished at 235 in Toronto and 213 in New York. If Orlando shoots the way it did in that Toronto win, this goes over.
