Panthers vs. Packers Prediction, NFL Week 8 TNF Odds & Best Bets (10/29)

Fact checked at 7:31 AM ET, Oct 29, 2026
Odds as of 6:48 AM ET, Oct 29, 2026
Carolina (3-3) and Green Bay (4-3) both come into Lambeau Field off losses. The Panthers were beaten 43-13 at home by Tampa Bay, and the Packers lost 20-17 in Detroit. Kickoff is 8:15 PM ET on Prime Video, and the forecast is mostly clear, in the low 50s, with a light northwest wind.
We think this game is closer than the opening number said. Carolina keeps it within a score and finds the end zone, and Jordan Love gives one away behind a rebuilt interior line. All three picks cash in that game.
The market has already moved a long way toward Carolina. Green Bay opened -7 and is now -3.5 (-112), with Carolina +3.5 (-108). The moneyline is Green Bay -200 and Carolina +160, and the total has climbed from 45.5 to 47 (Over -115, Under -108).
Since the open, Green Bay has ruled out center Sean Rhyan (ankle), right guard Travis Glover (knee) and linebacker Zaire Franklin (shin), and receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder/foot) is questionable. Edge rusher Micah Parsons is still out as he recovers from a torn ACL. Carolina has its own list. Left guard Damien Lewis (knee), outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips (hamstring), cornerback Akayleb Evans (triceps/knee) and backup lineman Torricelli Simpkins III (ankle) are out. Right tackle Taylor Moton is on injured reserve with a fractured fibula, and left tackle Ikem Ekwonu hasn't played this season as he recovers from a torn patellar tendon. Bryce Young (knee) has no game status and will play.
Panthers vs. Packers Predictions
- Pick #1: Jordan Love Over 0.5 Interceptions (-130)
- Pick #2: Bryce Young Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+103)
- Pick #3: Chuba Hubbard Anytime Touchdown (-120)
PICK #1: Jordan Love Over 0.5 Interceptions (-130)
Start with the middle of Love's line. Rhyan hurt his ankle on the fourth snap in Detroit, and Glover played every snap at right guard there before reporting knee pain. Green Bay hasn't said who replaces them. Jager Burton is next at center on the club's depth chart and Kevin Zeitler is next at right guard, and both were healthy scratches in Detroit. Pressure up the middle is what pushes a quarterback into quick, contested throws.
Love has already thrown an interception in 5 of his 7 games, including each of his last two. The picks came against Minnesota, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Dallas and Detroit; his only clean games were against the Jets and Chicago. He has thrown between 29 and 53 passes a game. If Golden can't go, Love also loses a receiver who has caught at least four passes in six of seven games, and more throws go to Christian Watson and Tucker Kraft. The Over at -130 implies a 56.5% chance, and the other side is +102, so the market isn't fighting this much.
There is a case against it. Carolina's pass rush is without Phillips, and the Panthers are down to two healthy cornerbacks, which could mean easier throws rather than riskier ones. One tipped ball or one dropped pick decides an interception bet, and seven games is a small record.
PICK #2: Bryce Young Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+103)
Young has thrown two or more touchdown passes in 4 of his 6 games: three against Chicago and Atlanta, two against Detroit and Philadelphia. The one-touchdown games came against Cleveland and in the loss to Tampa Bay. At +103 (49.3%), we're getting close to even money on that record.
His receivers are healthy. Jalen Coker (shoulder) has no game status and will play, and Tetairoa McMillan, Coker and John Metchie III lead the group. Green Bay's defense is without Franklin and Parsons, and three of its front players are questionable: Devonte Wyatt and Anthony Campbell (both ankle) and Brenton Cox Jr. (quadricep). With the market pricing this at a field goal and a hook, Carolina should be throwing for four quarters.
Protection is the risk, and it's real. Carolina plays without Lewis at left guard and without both starting tackles, so Rasheed Walker is at left tackle and Monroe Freeling at right tackle. After Moton got hurt against Tampa Bay, Young was sacked five times and threw for 163 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions on 27 attempts. Carolina's 26.5 points a game came with a healthier line, and six games is a small record. We'll take the plus price anyway, because a close game keeps the ball in his hands near the goal line.
PICK #3: Chuba Hubbard Anytime Touchdown (-120)
Hubbard has scored in 4 of his 6 games, twice against Chicago and Detroit and once each against Atlanta and Philadelphia. Two of those scores came on catches. The blanks were against Cleveland and in the loss to Tampa Bay. At -120 the price implies 54.5%. He's Carolina's lead back ahead of Trevor Etienne, and he has carried between 10 and 28 times in five of his six games.
He needs the same game as the other two picks. Green Bay plays without Franklin in the middle of its defense, and three of its front players are questionable. If Carolina keeps this within a score, Hubbard stays on the field and gets the work near the goal line, and the catches give him a second way to score. His heaviest workloads, 28 carries at Philadelphia and 20 against Detroit, both came in Carolina wins.
The line is the problem here as well. With Lewis out and both starting tackles missing, Hubbard had only seven carries in the 30-point loss to Tampa Bay, and a lopsided game the other way would take the ball out of his hands again. A 3.5-point spread says that isn't the likely script tonight.
