Packers vs Cowboys NFL Week 4 SNF picks

Sunday Night Football in Week 4 has plenty of intrigue with Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers head to Dallas to face off against Dak Prescott and the Cowboys in a classic NFC matchup. Kickoff is set for 8:20 PM ET on NBC, with Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth calling the action.

There’s a little extra spice to this one — not just because both teams are trying to bounce back after Week 3 losses, but because Micah Parsons will return to Dallas for the first time since being traded to Green Bay in the offseason. You can bet AT&T Stadium will be buzzing for this primetime clash.

Let’s break down three picks we like for Sunday night.

Packers vs Cowboys NFL Week 4 SNF Predictions

Pick #1: Packers -7 (-105) over Cowboys

Green Bay looks like the more consistent and complete team through three weeks. Jordan Love continues to grow into his role as the leader of the offense and looked composed even in last week’s loss to Cleveland, which had all the makings of a trap game.

Dallas, on the other hand, is dealing with issues on the defensive side — and now they’ll be without their top receiver. CeeDee Lamb is out with an ankle injury, leaving a huge gap in the passing game. It’s hard to imagine the Cowboys keeping up, especially with a Packers defense that’s been aggressive and disruptive at the line of scrimmage.

Also, don’t overlook the Micah Parsons factor. Returning to face his old team, expect him to bring energy and impact — especially when it comes to throwing off Dak Prescott’s rhythm. Given where both teams are right now and considering Dallas is shorthanded, the Packers laying 7 points makes a lot of sense.

Pick #2: Under 47.5 Total Points (-110)

Without CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys’ ability to stretch the field takes a major hit. That alone makes it hard to envision a high-scoring game. Green Bay can move the ball, but they’ve also shown they’re comfortable slowing things down — using a balanced approach and controlling the clock when they get ahead. Expect a steady dose of RB Josh Jacobs, especially on the road.

Dallas will likely try to do the same — lean on the run game and hope their defense can keep it close, even after getting lit up by the Bears last week. With Lamb out and the offense already looking shaky, it’s hard to see them doing much damage on the scoreboard.

This one has all the makings of a 27–16 or 23–13 kind of game — just enough for the Packers to cover and for the total to go under.

Pick #3: Jordan Love OVER 1.5 (-138) Passing Touchdowns

Aside from one ugly interception late in the game in Cleveland, Jordan Love has been reliable so far this season. He’s thrown multiple touchdowns in two of the first three games, and this matchup sets up nicely for him to hit that mark again.

With Dallas likely focusing on slowing down the run — and possibly playing from behind — Love should get his chances to take shots downfield or capitalize on good field position. Even without WR Jayden Reed, who’s out due to injury, there are weapons ready to step up. Rookie WR Matthew Golden and veteran WR Romeo Doubs should see more targets, and TE Tucker Kraft has been a breakout player, currently leading the team in receptions and yards.

Even if the overall pace of the game is a little slower, Love throwing for at least two touchdowns feels very realistic. Keep in mind, this Dallas defense gave up over 400 passing yards to Russell Wilson in Week 2 and four touchdowns to Caleb Williams in Week 3. Love going Over 1.5 touchdown passes looks like one of the strongest bets of the night.
