Packers vs Bears NFL Week 16 Best Picks

Week 16 of the NFL is unique, as we will have two Saturday games being played. The latter of the two games will feature a critical NFC North matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears. This game between the Packers and Bears is scheduled for Saturday, December 20th, and has a kick-off time of 8:20 PM ET. The game will be played at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, and will be broadcast on FOX.

PICK #1: Chicago Bears -1.5 (-110) Click Here to Bet

Our top pick for this game will target the Bears to win. The Bears enter this game with a record of 10-4 and, as it stands, are leading the NFC North division, holding a slim lead over the Packers. Chicago is coming off a huge bounce-back win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, as they won comfortably by a score of 31-3. The Packers, on the other hand, enter this game with a record of 9-4-1, having recently lost to the Denver Broncos in Week 15 by a score of 34-26.

These two teams met just a few weeks ago, where the Packers won at home 28-21. This time around, they will be playing in Chicago, where the Bears are a perfect 6-0 this season. Further, the Packers are down several players, including Micah Parsons, who is out for the season after tearing his ACL against the Broncos. Green Bay’s top running back, Josh Jacobs, is also questionable for this game with a knee/ankle injury.

Chicago has been great at home, and the Packers are just 2-5 ATS on the road. Therefore, given the fact that the Packers are without their best defensive player and possibly one of their best offensive players, backing the Chicago Bears -1.5 will be our play.

Our second pick for this game will be on the Over. Both Chicago and Green Bay have had top-scoring offenses this season, with the Bears averaging 26.1 points per game (9th) and the Packers averaging 24.9 points per game (10th).

The Over is 6-4 in the last 10 meetings, including this season’s meeting that ended 28-21. Further, Green Bay has seen six of its seven away games go over the total this season. Add in the fact that Green Bay is missing some key defensive pieces, such as Parsons, and our pick will be for there to be 47+ total points this Saturday night.

Our final pick for this game will be for DJ Moore, from the Chicago Bears, to score a touchdown at any time. Moore has been the second leading receiver for the Bears this season, with 567 yards receiving. Further, he is also second in receiving touchdowns with five. 

Four of Moore’s five touchdowns have come over the last four games, which include two touchdowns in the Bears' most recent game against the Cleveland Browns. As mentioned previously, Odunze is questionable for this game with a foot injury. If he is ruled out, Moore would likely become the number one target for the Bears quarterback, Caleb Williams. 

Even if Odunze does play, the Packers' best cornerback will likely be shadowing him, opening up more opportunities for Moore. Because of that, backing DJ Moore to find the end zone at least once will be our play.
