NFL Week 9 Sunday Best Picks

Week 9 of the 2025 NFL regular season got underway with Thursday Night Football between the Ravens and Dolphins, a predictable romp

Here are our best bets for the Week 9 schedule.

NFL Week 9 Predictions

Chicago Bears vs. Cincinnati Bengals Over 50.5 (-120) Click Here to Bet

New England Patriots -5.5 over Atlanta Falcons (-105) Click Here to Bet

San Francisco 49ers vs. New York Giants Under 48.5 (-105) Click Here to Bet

PICK #1: Bears vs. Bengals Over 50.5 (-120) Click Here to Bet

This should be a high-scoring affair, which would be nothing new for Cincinnati. The Bengals rank dead last league-wide in total defense (407.9 yards per game allowed) and in scoring defense (31.6 PPG allowed). The good news is that their offense is still able to put up points in bunches even in the absence of QB1 Joe Burrow. There were a few lean weeks when Jake Browning was under center, but veteran Joe Flacco has this offense in resurgent form.

Cincy has scored 33 and 38 points in its last two games. It’s worth proceeding with caution on this game until Flacco’s status is confirmed, as he is currently questionable due to a shoulder issue. As for the Bears, they can also be expected to score their fair share of points this weekend. Chicago has posted at least 25 points in four of the last five contests. Caleb Williams should have plenty of time to throw the ball against a Bengals defense that is No. 28 in the NFL with just 11 sacks.

PICK #2: Patriots -5.5 over Falcons (-105)  Click Here to Bet

This is a tale of two teams going in opposite directions. New England is 6-2 and is riding a five-game winning streak; Atlanta is 3-4 after losing two in a row. Given that the Patriots have home-field advantage on Sunday and are the healthier side, there is no reason to think any of those trends will change. Even though Michael Penix Jr. was out, it’s hard to overlook the Falcons’ 34-10 home loss to the Dolphins last week – a result that looks even worse after how bad Miami looked on Thursday Night Football. Penix’s return (which is not a guarantee, it should be noted) would be unlikely to make such a drastic difference.

After all, Atlanta’s offense was not exactly cooking when its second-year signal-caller was under center. Moreover, Bijan Robinson has rushed for a combined 65 yards over the past two contests. There are no such issues in New England, where QB Drake Maye is getting along nicely under head coach Mike Vrabel. Maye has already thrown for more than 2,000 yards in addition to 15 touchdowns and just three picks.

PICK #3: 49ers vs. Giants Under 48.5 (-105) Click Here to Bet

Running back Cam Skattebo is now on injured reserve for the Giants, joining WR Malik Nabers. Regardless of how well rookie quarterback Jackson Dart is playing, it’s not easy when our top RB and No. 1 WR are sidelined.

The 49ers offense also does not inspire a ton of confidence – whether it’s Brock Purdy running the show or Mac Jones (Purdy is questionable, hoping to return for the first time since Week 1). Christian McCaffrey is averaging an anemic 3.5 yards per carry. McCaffrey has been a major force in the passing game, but San Francisco is quite one-dimensional when it can’t run the ball, which would obviously help New York’s defensive efforts.
