NFL Week 8 Player Prop Picks

Week 7 of the NFL slate is in the books, and it was another chaotic weekend of football that produced plenty of compelling games. The Week 8 card features several interesting games across both conferences, including the Dallas Cowboys vs. Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, among others.

We posted a 1-2 week in this column a week ago, which brings us to 12-9 on the season. This week, our expert has three more player prop bets picked out for Sunday’s action. As we dive into this Week 8 slate, it’s time to get into our best player prop bets for this week’s NFL games.

For our first pick in this week’s column, let’s go with Josh Allen to throw at least two passing touchdowns against the Panthers. While the Buffalo offense operated at its usual high level over the last couple of weeks, this has the makings of a prime bounce-back spot against a Carolina defense that is 21st in opponent EPA per play and 23rd in EPA per pass on the season. With the Bills being projected to score at least 27 points in this one, let’s bank on Allen to account for two of those touchdowns through the air.

While this is a much tougher matchup on paper than what he’s seen in recent weeks, it’s hard to ignore just how well Dak Prescott is playing at the moment – which gives his passing touchdown number some value now that the juice has lowered a bit. Prescott has thrown for 13 touchdowns over the last four weeks and at least two touchdowns in five of the last six games. Denver’s defense is one of the best in football, but we’ve seen elite offenses (like the Colts) move the ball at-will against the Broncos earlier this season, and that’s exactly what Dallas should do in this one.

For our final pick in this week’s column, we will target Dallas Goedert to find the end zone for the sixth time this season. The Eagles tight end has been a security blanket for Jalen Hurts all season long, and he’s largely been the only player within this passing offense to find consistent scoring success. Not only is Goedert playing a defense that he just torched for 110 yards a touchdown a few weeks ago, but the Eagles passing attack appears to be rounding into form after a strong showing a week ago. Let’s ride that momentum into Sunday and back one of the best tight ends in the league to find the end zone.
