NFL Week 18 Player Prop Best Picks

Week 17 of the NFL slate is in the books, and it was another chaotic weekend of football that produced multiple exciting games. Luckily for NFL fans and bettors, the Week 18 card brings us another dose of compelling action across both conferences, including the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears vs. San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks vs. Carolina Panthers, among others.

We posted a 1-2 week in this column a week ago, which brings us to 28-22 on the season. This week, our expert has three more player prop bets for the NFL action. As we dive into the Week 18 slate, it’s time to get into our best player prop bets for this weekend’s games.

For our first pick in this week’s column, we're going with Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba to clear his receptions prop for the second straight week. If it's not broken, don’t fix it. This has been a very successful wager throughout the season, and we’re not going to shy away from it now, as Smith-Njigba has arguably been the best wide receiver in football to this point in the campaign.

The Ohio State product has recorded seven or more receptions in 12 of his 16 games played, and he should see more success against a 49ers defense that is extraordinarily injured and just allowed a ton of yards and points against the Bears offense a week ago. Given the fact that Smith-Njigba has been able to produce against some of the best defenses in football, the Seahawks top wideout could have a field day against this depleted San Francisco defense.

For the second pick in our column this week, let’s look at Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson to find the end zone for the third consecutive game. Despite the fact that rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson has burst onto the scene this season, Mike Vrabel has still shown a pretty clear loyalty to Stevenson as the veteran presence in the backfield, and the workload has indicated as such. 

Henderson put up solid numbers a week ago, but he was outflanked in the red zone by the older and more physical running back in a game in which the Patriots needed production. With that in mind, I’ll grab this number at plus-money against a Dolphins defense that has been middling against the run this season.

For our final pick in this week’s column, we will take Ravens RB Derrick Henry to find the end zone for the seventh time in the last three games. Despite the perception that this has been a “down year” for Henry and this offense, the veteran running back  has been the model of consistency in Baltimore’s offense all season long, and he should be in for another solid showing against the Packers in a massive matchup on Sunday. 

With the Ravens passing game fighting through inconsistency all season long, we can expect Henry to get a heavy workload on Sunday, and he’s shown that he’s had a nose for the end zone all year with 17 total touchdowns on the season. With that in mind, let’s invest in Henry in Week 18.
