NFL Week 17 Sunday Best Picks 

Week 17 of the 2025 NFL campaign is upon us, spread out across four days to celebrate the Christmas season. Although Thursday and Saturday have stolen some of the limelight, we still have a sizable Sunday slate that bears plenty of gifts. Included on the schedule are Jaguars vs Colts, Seahawks vs Panthers, Eagles vs Bills and Bears vs 49ers.

Here are our best bets for Sunday of Week 17.

PICK #1: Patriots -13.5 (-108) vs Jets Click Here to Bet

This is far from a marquee AFC East matchup, but New England will be playing inspired football with a chance to clinch the division on Sunday. The Patriots will wrap things up if they take care of the Jets and Buffalo falls to Philadelphia. As for the 3-12 Jets, they have long since been eliminated from playoff contention. In a matchup between one of the best teams in the NFL and one of the worst, a spread of fewer than two touchdowns (and two extra points) is not too large.

New York has lost three games in a row and is 1-5 in its last six. During this stretch, all of the Jets’ setbacks have come by 13 points or more. Their last three losses have come by 24, 28 and 23 points. Rookie QB Brady Cook is now under center for head coach Aaron Glenn’s squad, and it says quite a lot that the offense is even worse with Cook than it was with either Justin Fields or Tyrod Taylor. Through three appearances, Cook has one touchdown pass, six interceptions and just 527 passing yards. 

PICK #2: Buccaneers vs Dolphins Under 45.5 (-110) Click Here to Bet

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa’s season – and probably his career with Miami – is over. Tagovailoa was benched following Miami’s Week 15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, thus handing the offense to rookie QB Quinn Ewers. The former Texas standout did not throw a TD pass and was intercepted twice in his NFL debut against Cincinnati. The Fins had 14 points with more than six minutes remaining in the first half, but did not score again until garbage time against a defense that is the absolute worst in the entire NFL.

Miami’s only hope of moving the ball this weekend is with RB De’Von Achane, but that is where Tampa Bay’s defense excels – seventh in the league against the run. Meanwhile, the Bucs’ second-half collapse last week against the Carolina Panthers can be attributed to a struggling offense. QB Baker Mayfield has thrown six interceptions in the past six contests after being picked off just twice in the first nine. Tampa Bay has scored more than 20 points in a game only once since Week 11. 

PICK #3: Giants vs Raiders Under 41.5 (-110) Click Here to Bet

It simply does not get any bigger than Giants vs Raiders...at least not for 2026 NFL Draft implications. These are the two worst teams in the league, both coming in with 2-13 records. It’s a game that should be every bit as bad on the field as it is on paper. New York’s offense has been mostly inept this season, largely due to injuries that have been a problem.

WR Malik Nabers and RB Cam Skattebo have been on season-ending injury reserve for many weeks. Left tackle Andrew Thomas, guard Jon Runyan and center John Michael Schmitz Jr. are all questionable. Of course, it can’t get much worse for rookie QB Jaxson Dart than what was on display last weekend. The Giants amassed a total of 13 yards during a loss to the Minnesota Vikings. That’s right; Dart threw for 33 and lost 20 via sacks. As for the Raiders, they could do some damage on the ground behind rookie running back Ashton Jeanty. However, that would keep the clock moving, and we shouldn't see more than 40 combined points in this one.
