NFL Week 12 Player Prop Picks

Week 11 of the NFL slate is in the books, and it was another chaotic weekend of football that produced plenty of compelling games. The Week 12 card is loaded with compelling games across both conferences, including the Indianapolis Colts vs Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football, among others.

We posted another 2-1 week in this column a week ago, which brings us to 19-13 on the season. This week, our expert has three more player prop bets picked out for Sunday’s action. As we dive into this Week 12 slate, it’s time to get into our best player prop bets for this week’s NFL games. 

NFL Week 12 Player Prop Bets

• PICK #1: David Montgomery (DET) Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-105)
• PICK #2: Drake Maye (NE) Over 20.5 Completions (+100)
• PICK #3: Sam Darnold (SEA) Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-120)

PICK #1: David Montgomery (DET) Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-105)

For our first pick in this week’s column, we're going with RB David Montgomery to find the end zone for the sixth time this season. While Montgomery doesn’t have the same level of burst or explosiveness as his running back mate, Jahmyr Gibbs, he does have a knack for getting the ball around the goal line and cashing in with touchdowns. 

Montgomery should see plenty of success this week against the Giants, a team that arguably has the worst rush defense in football, and it wouldn’t surprise me if the veteran running back got some carries near the end zone in a blowout effort. This number seems a bit short, so let’s take the second string running back to leave his mark on this contest. 

PICK #2: Drake Maye (NE) Over 20.5 Completions (+100)

For our second pick in this column, let’s target QB Drake Maye to finish with at least 21 completions on Sunday. Maye has been on a heater over the last eight weeks, and his team has followed suit, as the Patriots are now sitting atop the AFC East and appear to be headed toward the top seed in the conference come January. 

This week, Maye has an extremely favorable matchup on hand against the Cincinnati Bengals, a defense that is among the worst in football, particularly against the pass. Cincinnati is giving up 257.3 passing yards per game (31st in the NFL), and they've given up 300+ yards in five games this season. With Joe Burrow likely to play on the other side, this is a game that should feature plenty of possessions and could be a high-scoring affair. That bodes well for Maye throwing the ball more in a game script that calls for it. 

PICK #3: Sam Darnold (SEA) Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-120)

For our final pick in this week’s column, we will take QB Sam Darnold to bounce back from his miserable showing a week ago by throwing at least two touchdowns on Sunday. Darnold struggled mightily against a very good Rams defense in a loss on the road last week, but he’s in a great position to succeed this week against a Titans defense that was already one of the lesser units in the league, and is not dealing with a few key injuries up front and in the secondary.

Seattle should put up points here, so let’s look for Darnold to get his confidence back in what should be a blowout victory.
