NFL Preseason Friday Predictions

Pick #2: New York Jets vs. Philadelphia Eagles Under 34.5 (-110) Click Here to Bet
Pick #3: Chicago Bears +2 over Kansas City Chiefs (-110) Click Here to Bet
PICK #1: Falcons +2.5 over Cowboys (-110)
It’s easy to default to Dallas when you see the name, but that kind of thinking doesn’t really apply in the preseason—especially when most starters barely see the field. Through two games, the Cowboys haven’t shown much to inspire confidence. They’ve dropped both contests and looked especially flat offensively in their Week 1 loss to the Rams, giving up 31 points while struggling to move the ball.
The depth behind Dak Prescott is a concern. Joe Milton, likely seeing extended snaps again, has completed just 26 of 47 passes for 265 yards, with one touchdown and two picks. Meanwhile, Dallas’s second-string offensive line has been shaky, which doesn’t bode well in a game that’ll be decided by backups.
Atlanta, on the other hand, has looked solid despite their 23–20 loss to the Lions last week. Easton Stick stepped in and played well—completing 19 of 32 passes for 173 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He’s had good command of the offense and the Falcons’ staff seems comfortable letting him throw it around. In a tight preseason game, getting points with a team that’s playing competitive football makes sense.
PICK #2: Jets vs. Eagles Under 34.5
This one shapes up as a grind-it-out kind of game—and the total reflects that. The over/under sits at just 34.5 and that low number makes sense given what we’ve seen so far.
The Jets' offense has been inconsistent through two preseason games. Outside of a strong opening drive in Week 1, they’ve struggled to find rhythm. Justin Fields, now under center in New York, had a rough outing last week, completing just one of five pass attempts for four yards. Don’t expect the Jets to trot out their starters for long, if at all, which means more reps for the backups.
The Eagles haven’t looked much sharper. Even though they’re coming off a Super Bowl title, they’ve taken a cautious approach this preseason. In their Week 2 loss to the Browns (22–13), Philly’s backups had a tough time moving the ball. Nick Sirianni hasn’t hinted at significant playing time for his starters this week, so it’s likely another conservative game plan is on the way.
With both teams leaning heavily on depth pieces—and both defenses showing up so far—the under feels like the right side.
PICK #3: Bears +2 over Chiefs (-110)
This line feels a bit inflated based on Kansas City’s name brand rather than what we’ve seen on the field. Patrick Mahomes may make a cameo, but don’t expect him to play more than a drive. That leaves the rest of the game in the hands of the Chiefs' backups, including Gardner Minshew, who hasn’t been especially sharp through two preseason contests.
Meanwhile, Chicago has been impressive. Caleb Williams is obviously the headline, but the Bears’ depth at quarterback is turning heads. Williams, Tyson Bagent and Austin Reed combined for over 350 passing yards last week in a 38–0 blowout win over the Bills. That kind of production is rare in the preseason and it speaks to the confidence this team has in its offensive system—even deep into the depth chart.
The Bears also haven’t taken their foot off the gas in the second half of games, which gives them an edge in matchups that come down to third-stringers and execution.
