NFL Conference Championship Player Prop Picks

The NFL postseason treated us to a couple of instant classics on Divisional Round weekend, as the Broncos knocked off the Bills in overtime, while the Rams escaped with an OT victory over the Bears, even after surrendering the game-tying touchdown with under a minute left. While only three games are remaining in the season, this week’s AFC and NFC Conference Championship games should end up producing some of the best action of the playoffs thus far. 

While we went just 1-2 in this column a week ago, we are still 31-27 on the season, good for a 53.5% success rate. This week, our expert has three more player prop bets for a very consequential pair of games on Sunday. As we dive into the Conference Championship slate, it’s time to get into our best player prop bets for the penultimate weekend of NFL action.

• PICK #1: Hunter Henry (NE) Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+175)
• PICK #2: Matthew Stafford (LAR) Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-125)
• PICK #3: Kyren Williams (LAR) Over 53.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

PICK #1: Hunter Henry (NE) Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+175)

For our first pick in this week’s column, let’s look at Patriots TE Hunter Henry to find the end zone for the eighth time this season. Henry has been a consistent security blanket for QB Drake Maye all season long, and that should continue into this week’s game against a Broncos defense that has struggled against tight ends this season, including in last week’s game against the Bills, in which they allowed a combined 115 yards and a touchdown.

Henry led the Patriots in red-zone targets this season (21) and also recorded a touchdown against the Chargers back in Wild Card Weekend. We can expect the veteran to make himself available around the goal line while steering clear of the Denver secondary.

PICK #2: Matthew Stafford (LAR) Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-125)

For the second pick in the column this week, we’ll target Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford to toss at least two passing touchdowns on Sunday. Stafford hasn’t been at his best in these playoffs, but the veteran gunslinger has still thrown at least two touchdowns in 12 of his last 13 games played, including a combined five touchdowns over the first two meetings against this vaunted Seattle defense. 

Despite Seattle’s elite metrics, the Seahawks have been carved up by Sean McVay and the Los Angeles offense in both meetings this season. If the Rams are going to win this game, they’ll need to tally at least three touchdowns, so we can expect plenty of pass attempts around the red zone in this one. 

PICK #3: Kyren Williams (LAR) Over 53.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

For our final pick in this week’s column, we will take Rams RB Kyren Williams to clear his rushing prop in another postseason game. The starting running back in this backfield has been extremely consistent, having cleared this number in each of his last eight games played, dating back to November 30. 

For the season as a whole, Williams has exceeded this number in 17 of his 19 games played, including both matchups against the Seahawks in games that featured plenty of scoring. Given the fact that McVay has shown a willingness to stick with the run in these playoffs, there’s no reason to expect that Williams’ workload will slow down anytime soon.
