NBA player prop picks & King of the Court predictions - March 26

The NBA regular season has just over two weeks remaining and today’s slate boasts six matchups – we’ve honed in on three player props that offer strong value. With injuries and lineup shifts creating opportunities for certain players, while making things tougher for others, there are plenty of edges to be found.

Tonight, we’re targeting Brook Lopez to go under his points, rebounds, and assists (PRA) line, while backing Jordan Poole and Kristaps Porzingis to hit their over point totals. Let’s break down each of our NBA player prop picks, while it’s also worth keeping the latter two players in mind for DraftKings’ King of the Court promotion. Pick #1: Brook Lopez Under 25.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-110)

Pick #1: Brook Lopez Under 25.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-110)

Brook Lopez has been playing heavy minutes lately, but at 36 years old, fatigue could be a factor as the Bucks head to Denver to face the Nuggets. Over the last two games, Lopez has been a key offensive contributor, scoring 21 and 23 points while playing 36 and 42 minutes, respectively. Those performances came without Damian Lillard, who has been sidelined with a medical issue. 

Lopez faces a difficult challenge against Nikola Jokic, notably in the rebounding department. In their previous meeting, Lopez tallied a solid, but not overwhelming 22 points, four rebounds and three assists. Playing at altitude in Denver on just one day of rest adds another hurdle, as heavy legs could limit his scoring efficiency. Given the matchup and circumstances, we’re betting against Lopez replicating his recent stat lines.

Pick #2: Jordan Poole Over 16.5 Points (-110)

Jordan Poole has been heating up lately, and with the Wizards facing a severely shorthanded 76ers squad, he’s in a prime position to keep rolling. Washington is also without Malcolm Brogdon, Saddiq Bey, Kyshawn George, Marcus Smart and Khris Middleton, meaning Poole will be one of the primary offensive options.

Poole has surpassed this 16.5-point line in three straight games while shooting at least 52% from the field. His volume has been consistent, with 13 to 17 shot attempts in each contest. The 76ers rank 27th in defensive rating and struggle to defend the perimeter, allowing opponents to shoot 37.5% from beyond the arc – coincidentally, the exact percentage Poole is shooting from deep this season.

With Philadelphia’s defense in rough shape and Poole already in a scoring rhythm, he should have no trouble clearing 16.5 points.

Pick #3: Kristaps Porzingis Over 20.5 Points (-110)

With Jayson Tatum listed as doubtful for Boston’s matchup against the Suns, Kristaps Porzingis is poised to take on an expanded scoring role. Jaylen Brown is also still ramping back up after missing time, making Porzingis the Celtics’ likely go-to option in this game.

Phoenix’s defense has struggled all season, ranking 26th in defensive rating and allowing plenty of clean looks from deep. Porzingis, who is shooting 39.3% from three this year, should have a significant advantage against this Suns unit that ranks 22nd in opponent three-point attempts allowed and 18th in opponent three-point percentage.

We’ve already seen Porzingis step up in similar situations – without Brown last week, he put up 25 points and 13 rebounds in one game and 27 points and 10 rebounds in another. With Tatum likely out, Porzingis should have ample scoring opportunities, making the over on his 20.5-point line a strong play.
