NBA player prop picks, 3/5

Wednesday’s NBA slate is packed with action as we have eight games to get excited for, meaning we have tons of player prop markets to target. With tons of playoff contenders and top players in action, I’ve honed in on three of the association’s best and picked out three Points+Rebounds+Assists (PRA) overs to target. Let’s dive in on our best NBA player prop picks to stuff the stat sheet on Wednesday, March 5.
NBA Player Prop Predictions
Pick #1: Cade Cunningham (DET) Over 39.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-114)
Pick #2: Jalen Williams (OKC) Over 31.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-125)
Pick #3: Anthony Edwards (MIN) Over 39.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-128)
Pick #1: Cade Cunningham (DET) Over 39.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-114)
The Pistons have turned their season around, winning 10 of their last 11 games and solidifying themselves in the Eastern Conference playoff race. A major reason for their surge? Cade Cunningham. The All-Star point guard has been a force, averaging 25.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 9.4 assists (40.5 PRA).
Cunningham will look to keep his team rolling against the Clippers, who are on the second night of a back-to-back. While LA has one of the league’s top defensive ratings, they’ve been vulnerable against opposing point guards – especially when fatigue sets in. Cade has been even more efficient on the road, shooting 47% from the field and averaging 25.9 points per game. He hasn’t dropped 30 in four straight, but against a strong opponent, it’s the perfect stage for a takeover performance.
Cunningham has also upped his three-point shooting since the all-star break, hitting 41.5% on nearly six attempts per game. He torched the Clippers just five games ago, posting 32 points, nine rebounds and seven assists (48 PRA). Given the Clippers’ struggles in transition and against primary ball handlers, expect Cade to deliver another all-around gem.
Pick #2: Jalen Williams (OKC) Over 31.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-125)
Jalen Williams has quietly been one of the most well-rounded contributors for the Thunder, averaging 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists (32.1 PRA) per game. Against the Grizzlies, though, he’s been even better – recording 25-6-6 in one game and 14-10-8 in another, averaging eight rebounds and seven assists per game against Memphis, his highest marks against any opponent this season.
Since the all-star break, Williams has taken his game to another level, putting up 24.3 points and 5.9 assists per game while shooting 47.8% from deep. His road splits also favor big performances, averaging more points (22.0) and assists (5.5) away from home.
Memphis might be a playoff-caliber opponent, but their defensive vulnerabilities create an ideal spot for Williams. The Grizzlies rank 24th in defensive rebounding, 29th in points off turnovers allowed and 26th in three-point attempts allowed. Even more crucially, they play at the fastest pace in the league, meaning increased opportunities for Williams to rack up stats.
Pick #3: Anthony Edwards (MIN) Over 39.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-128)
Anthony Edwards continues to prove himself as an elite talent all over the court, averaging 27.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists (38.2 PRA) this season. He’s also thrived on the second night of back-to-backs, exceeding his season PRA average in five of 10 games. His road performances have been even stronger, averaging 29.1 points per game while shooting 44% from three and 86% from the free-throw line.
Since the all-star break, Edwards has been getting to the line more frequently, averaging 9.6 free-throw attempts per game, nearly double his pre-break rate. His aggressive approach in getting to the line and launching three-pointers could pay off against a Hornets team that allows the fourth-most three-point attempts per game and struggles to contain perimeter scorers.
Edwards played just 30 minutes in last night’s win over the 76ers, meaning he should be fresh for this matchup. With his scoring ability, efficiency on the road and increased volume at the line, he has a clear path to a monster PRA performance.
