NBA Game of the Night: Grizzlies @ Sixers and a +337 Same Game Parlay

The NBA is back on Thursday and one of the games of the night features the 35-22 Grizzlies at the 38-19 Sixers in a matchup featuring MVP candidates Ja Morant and Joel Embiid. The Grizzlies won the first meeting 117-109 in Memphis on Dec. 2. Morant had 28 points and Steven Adams had 16 rebounds in that one, but Adams (knee) won’t be around tonight, which could be a problem against Embiid.
The Grizzlies are just 11-17 on the road and will miss Adams tonight, as Embiid torched them for 35 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, a steal, three blocks and a 3-pointer in the previous meeting. The Grizzlies are coming in hot though, winning four of their last five with Morant leading the team in scoring in four straight. Morant has scored at least 20 points in every game since he had 19 back on Dec. 29 and has scored at least 32 in three of his last six. He just missed a triple-double in his last game when he had 20 points, eight rebounds and nine assists against the Jazz just before the All-Star break. Morant is going to have to have a big game tonight if Mamphis is going to get it done on the road.
Jaren Jackson Jr. is coming in hot and had 26 points, nine rebounds, five steals and four blocks against the Jazz last Wednesday and he’s averaging 19.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 3.8 blocks and 1.5 3-pointers in February. He had 22 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in their pervious meeting.

Brandon Clarke has been filling in for Adams, while Desmond Bane, Dillon Brooks and Santi Aldama have also been contributing for Memphis. Bane has scored in double figures in every game since he had nine on Christmas Day, and is averaging 21 ppg in February.
The Sixers are led by Embiid and he’s averaging 30.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.8 blocks and 0.8 3-pointers in February. They’ve won four straight games and are 23-8 at home, offering a tough test for the Grizzlies, who have just 11 wins away from home. In fact, their last road win came way back on Jan. 14 at Indiana, meaning they’ve lost seven straight road games.
Embiid is not the only offensive threat in Philly as James Harden, Tobias Harris, De’Anthony Melton and reserve Tyrese Maxey are all vibrant scorers, as well. In addition to scoring 21.4 points per game, Harden also leads the league in assists at 10.8 per game. Not bad for a guy who’s not even considered a point guard. Maxey averages 19.8 points, Harris is at 15.4 points and Melton averages 10.7 points and 1.7 steals for Philly.
We see both Embiid and Morant keeping it going tonight while the healthy Sixers look for their fifth straight win at home. And if they keep that streak alive the Grizzlies will be looking at an eight-game road losing streak.
