Lions vs Eagles NFL Week 11 SNF Picks

Sunday Night Football in Week 11 of the 2025 NFL season provides a showdown in the NFC – a potential NFC Championship preview, in fact – between the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams are currently atop their respective divisions, as Detroit leads the NFC North (via a tiebreaker) at 6-3 while Philadelphia outpaces the rest of the NFC East at 7-2. With Sunday’s contest set for 8:20 pm ET on NBC, it’s time to break down the odds and discuss the Lions vs Eagles best bets to make.

Lions vs Eagles SNF Predictions

Pick #1: Philadelphia Eagles -2.5 over Detroit Lions (-114)

Pick #2: Over 46.5 (-114)

Pick #3: Jahmyr Gibbs Over 61.5 rushing yards (-112)

PICK #1: Eagles -2.5 over Lions (-114)

It wasn’t pretty, but you never have to apologize for winning at Lambeau Field regardless of the circumstances. The Eagles went to Green Bay on Monday night and came away with a 10-7 victory. A defense that was already stout added linebacker Jaelan Phillips prior to the trade deadline, and he promptly contributed four solo tackles. The Packers gained only 261 yards of total offense on an anemic 4.0 yards per play. That’s not to say that Detroit is going to be held in check on Sunday, but Philadelphia is at least better equipped than most to deal with this offensive juggernaut. It should be noted that tight end Sam LaPorta and tackles Penei Sewell and Taylor Decker are questionable for Detroit.

The Eagles inspire less confidence on the offensive side of the ball, but the good news for them is that Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold is questionable after leaving last week’s win over Washington due to a concussion. Fellow CB Amik Robertson is also questionable along with safety Kerby Joseph. Philadelphia is healthier and playing at home, so it is the more reliable side.

PICK #2: Over 46.5 (-114)

In the case of one team, there are no offensive concerns. That team, of course, is the Lions. They are No. 2 league wide in points per game, No. 1 in completion percentage, No. 5 in yards per pass attempt and No. 2 in explosive plays. Head coach Dan Campbell’s crew thrashed the Commanders 44-22 this past weekend while racking up 546 total yards on 8.0 yards per play. Unfortunately for Detroit, it is not only banged up defensively, but also underwhelming on that side of the ball – even at full strength. It is No. 25 in the NFL in red-zone defense and in the bottom half of the league in yards per pass attempt allowed (7.0). Both offenses should be able to do just enough to take this game over the total.

PICK #3: Jahmyr Gibbs Over 61.5 rushing yards (-112)

Look for Detroit to feature the running game in an attempt to work the clock on Sunday night. Relegating Philadelphia’s offense to the sideline for as long as possible is always a good strategy. Moreover, the Eagles’ defense is better at stopping the pass compared to the run. Philly ranks sixth in the NFL in yards per pass attempt allowed (6.5), but it is No. 19 against the run (118.6 yards per game allowed on 4.4 yards per carry). Gibbs should be able to take advantage.

The Alabama product has erupted for at least 136 rushing yards in two of the last three contests and he has exceeded this 61.5 quota six times already in 2025. Meanwhile, backfield mate David Montgomery has been limited to 40 yards or fewer in three of the last four contests.
