Kings vs. Rangers Prediction, NHL Odds & Best Bets (10/26)

Fact checked at 8:10 AM ET, Oct 26, 2026
Odds as of 7:39 AM ET, Oct 26, 2026
Artemi Panarin makes another return to Madison Square Garden with the Los Angeles Kings, puck drop at 7:00 PM ET on NHL Network. The Rangers are 7-5-1 and a perfect 6-0-0 at home, where they have outscored opponents 29-10. The Kings are 2-5-2, score 2.33 goals a game (29th of 32 teams) and have been held to one goal in five of their nine games, including a 3-1 loss in New Jersey on just 13 shots. Quinton Byfield (upper body) is day-to-day after missing the last two games, and Kevin Fiala and Alex Turcotte are on injured reserve. Dylan Garand and Darcy Kuemper are the expected goalies; neither has been confirmed.
Our read is that New York's offense keeps running through its passers. Alexis Lafreniere has a team-high nine goals, while Adam Fox has 16 assists and no goals, and J.T. Miller has been finishing chances on very few shots. So we're taking both of them under their shot totals. The puck goes through them more than it comes off their sticks.
Kings vs. Rangers Predictions
- Pick #1: Adam Fox Under 1.5 Shots on Goal (-125)
- Pick #2: J.T. Miller Under 1.5 Shots on Goal (+105)
PICK #1: Adam Fox Under 1.5 Shots on Goal (-125)
Fox has seven assists in his last three games and zero shots on goal in any of them. It's been that way all season, with 16 assists, no goals and 13 shots through 13 games. He has finished with one shot or none in nine of those 13, and in seven of his last 10.
The minutes are big, between 18 and 24 a night over that 10-game stretch, and he played 24 in the 7-4 loss in Ottawa with two assists and no shots. In the Rangers' last game he ran the top power-play unit and played on the top pair with Vladislav Gavrikov, but the shooting on that unit comes from elsewhere: Lafreniere leads the team with 30 shots on goal. At the Garden he has been even quieter, with four shots in six home games and only one of them, a 6-2 win over Vancouver, reaching two.
The -125 price implies 55.6%. His only big shot nights came on the road, four in a 7-1 loss in New Jersey and three in a 1-0 overtime loss in Columbus. The risk is a long night of Rangers possession: the Kings allow 29.11 shots on goal a game and gave up 43 to the Islanders, and a defenseman on the top unit can stack point shots during a long power play.
PICK #2: J.T. Miller Under 1.5 Shots on Goal (+105)
Miller has one shot or none in eight of his last 10 games, and he hasn't needed more. Over that stretch he has 11 shots, three goals and nine points while playing 16 to 22 minutes a night. His goal in the 7-4 loss in Ottawa came on his only shot of the game.
He centered the second line between Tye Kartye and Oliver Bjorkstrand in the Rangers' last game and played on the top power-play unit with Fox, Mika Zibanejad, Lafreniere and Pavel Dorofeyev. He has six assists and three goals on the season, on 16 shots in 13 games. His two overs in that 10-game run were two shots in a 5-2 win over Anaheim and three in a 5-2 win over the Islanders.
At +105, the implied probability is 48.8%. The other side is priced at -140, so the market expects two shots from a player who has topped one only twice in his last 10. A power-play-heavy game could give him extra looks, and the Kings have allowed a lot of shots, but we'll take plus money on his usual night.
