Hurricanes vs. Golden Knights 2026 NHL Stanley Cup Final Game 4 Picks

The Carolina Hurricanes and Vegas Golden Knights are set for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final on Tuesday night. Puck drop is slated for 8:10 PM ET at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

All 3 games of this series so far have delivered non-stop entertainment. Each game has been more thrilling than the last, and the Golden Knights’ double overtime victory in Game 3 has them owning a 2-1 series lead heading into Game 4.

Carolina is looking to bounce back and even things up, while Vegas sets its sights on taking a commanding 3-1 lead before the series moves back to Raleigh for Game 5.

Pick #1: Golden Knights ML over Hurricanes (-110)

The further the playoffs move along, the better Vegas’ move to part ways with Bruce Cassidy in favor of John Tortorella looks. The Golden Knights have been firing on all cylinders with Tortorella leading the way, and they haven’t shown many signs of slowing down. The Golden Knights are 21-5-1 since Tortorella took over, and they’ve controlled the series up to this point. After a thrilling double overtime victory in Game 3, Vegas has all the momentum in this series.  

The Hurricanes are playing with fire, and it’s burned them in 2 out of 3 games so far. Carolina has made a habit of giving up early goals and having to play from behind in Games 1-3 of this series. That is not a style they want to be playing, as it doesn’t allow them to lean on their solid defensive structure and conservative, physical style of play. They’ve needed a pair of borderline miracle comebacks to stay alive in the last 2 games, and that simply isn’t a sustainable approach.

Playing at home with all the momentum, look for Vegas to pick up a critical Game 4 victory on Tuesday night. 

Pick #2: Over 5.5 (-135)

High-scoring games have been the theme in this series. Both of these teams entered the postseason as two of the most dominant defensive teams in the NHL, but that has gone by the wayside through three games of the Stanley Cup Final. A total of 25 goals have been scored through three games, and only four have come on the power play. Neither team has needed the man advantage to find the back of the net, and neither team has had a defensive answer for what the other is doing offensively. 

Both goaltenders have also struggled mightily. Vegas’ Carter Hart has allowed goals on three consecutive shots on two different occasions. That almost doesn’t even feel like it could be real. On the other side, Frederik Andersen was pulled after two periods in Game 3 after posting a lowly .815 save percentage through the first 2.5 games. Brandon Bussi kept Carolina in it, and if he gets the starting nod in Game 4, the Golden Knights’ postseason experience should help them find success against the inexperienced netminder. With a total of 5.5, look to the over.

Pick #3: Pavel Dorofeyev (VGS) anytime goalscorer (+250)

Pavel Dorofeyev racked up 10 goals over Vegas’ first 3 postseason series. However, he has been quiet in the Stanley Cup Final as he’s been held without a single point through three games. The Vegas offense has been fine without his production, as they’ve potted 14 goals in Games 1-3.

With that being said, Dorofeyev finding his goal-scoring form once again bodes extremely well for Vegas in this series. Dorofeyev led the Golden Knights with 37 goals during the regular season, and despite his recent cold spell, he still owns a postseason shooting percentage of 21.3%. His 10 playoff goals are tied for second on the team, and it may just be a matter of time before Dorofeyev lights the lamp again.
