Golden Knights vs. Blues Prediction, NHL Odds & Best Bets (10/22)

Fact checked at 8:58 AM ET, Oct 22, 2026
Odds as of Oct 22, 8:55 AM ET
Nobody in the NHL has scored more than Vegas. The Golden Knights are 8-3-0 with 44 goals in 11 games, 4.0 a night, and they open a two-game road trip in St. Louis after Tuesday's 6-2 home loss to Tampa Bay ended a three-game winning streak. The Blues are 4-4-1 with 29 goals scored and 29 allowed, and their 3.22 goals allowed per game sits in the bottom half of the league. They have been tougher at Enterprise Center (2-0-1), and they beat Winnipeg 2-1 on Tuesday behind 32 saves from Joel Hofer, who has a .919 save percentage in six games.
Vegas is a -125 favorite with a total of 6.5. Neither starting goalie is confirmed: Carter Hart started Tuesday, Adin Hill started Oct. 17, and Hofer is expected for St. Louis. Vegas is without Alex Pietrangelo (out for the season), Victor Olofsson (long-term injured reserve) and Parker Wotherspoon (injured reserve, out since Oct. 10), and it recalled forward Alexander Holtz on Wednesday. Puck drop is 8:00 PM ET at Enterprise Center.
Our read is simple: Vegas keeps scoring, and the goals keep going through Jack Eichel and Mitch Marner. Both run the first power-play unit, and St. Louis has given up three or more goals in six of its nine games. Both picks need Vegas to score with one of them on the ice, so a hot Hofer and a quiet Vegas night would sink them together.
Golden Knights vs. Blues Predictions
- Pick #1: Mitch Marner Over 0.5 Assists (-120)
- Pick #2: Jack Eichel Over 0.5 Assists (-140)
PICK #1: Mitch Marner Over 0.5 Assists (-120)
Marner has 10 assists in 11 games and has picked one up in 8 of them. He brings a seven-game point streak to St. Louis, including two assists each against Calgary and Pittsburgh and a helper on Ivan Barbashev's goal in Tuesday's loss. The only games he finished without one were Sept. 29 against Chicago, Oct. 4 at Vancouver and Oct. 6 at Seattle.
This isn't a hot October talking. He had 56 assists in 81 games in his first Vegas season and 75 in 81 the year before in Toronto. He played Tuesday on the second line with Brett Howden and William Karlsson and on the top power-play unit with Eichel, Mark Stone, Tomas Hertl and Trevor Connelly. At -120, the market gives him a 54.5% chance. We'd put him higher than that.
Special teams are where this could go wrong. Vegas converts 25 percent of its power plays, St. Louis kills 85.7 percent of its penalties, and five of Marner's 12 points have come with the man advantage.
PICK #2: Jack Eichel Over 0.5 Assists (-140)
Eichel has been a playmaker for a lot longer than 11 games: 63 assists in 74 games last season, 66 in 77 the season before. This year he's at 13 in 11, second in the league, with an assist in 7 of those games, including three at Seattle on Oct. 6 and two apiece against Calgary and Pittsburgh. He centers Barbashev and Stone, whose eight goals lead the team, and he's on the first power-play unit.
The worry is the recent stretch. He has gone without an assist in four of his last six, Tuesday included, and his last two multi-assist nights came in 6-2 wins. If St. Louis keeps this tight, he can come up empty. Still, -140 only asks for 58.3%, and a top-line center with his track record, on the team with the most goals in the league, should get there more often than that.
