Eagles vs Rams NFL Week 12 SNF picks

The Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams will meet in Los Angeles in a fascinating matchup on Sunday Night Football on November 24, 2024. The kickoff at SoFi Stadium is 8:20 PM ET, with the game broadcast live on NBC. This contest features an Eagles team that is rolling at the moment, while the Rams are fresh off an important win over the Patriots to keep themselves in the NFC West division race.
With both teams looking to stay hot on this big primetime stage, let’s dive into our expert’s predictions and best bets for this Sunday Night Football showdown.
Eagles vs Rams Predictions
Pick #1 - Philadelphia Eagles -2.5 (-110)
Pick #2 - Over 48.5 Total Points (-110)
Pick #3 - Cooper Kupp Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+155)
PICK #1: Philadelphia Eagles -2.5 (-110)
The Eagles enter this game after winning six consecutive contests and playing the best defense we’ve seen from them in the last two seasons. They are justifiably a favorite on the road, and they’ve looked fantastic against inferior competition over this six-game winning streak. Even better for Philadelphia fans and bettors – the Eagles offense is as healthy as it has been all season, and running back Saquon Barkley has been sensational (1,137 rushing yards) as the focal point of this offense. The Eagles’ rushing attack has been outstanding, averaging 216.4 rushing yards per game over their last five contests, which should come into play against a middling Rams run defense (18th in the NFL).
There’s no doubt that the return and continued health of Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp have made a huge difference for Matthew Stafford and this red-hot Rams offense. Los Angeles is even getting a solid year from its defensive front, led by rookie Jared Verse, who has been excellent in his debut season. With that said, this is the most difficult game the Rams have faced since the Lions in Week 1, and I don’t expect them to pull out the victory, even in front of their home fans. Let’s take Philadelphia laying under a field goal on Sunday.
PICK #2: Over 48.5 (-110)
The Rams haven’t been a great offense from a statistical standpoint, but Los Angeles is averaging nearly 27 points per game and 370 yards per game since Nacua and Kupp have returned, along with a couple of key adjustments made to its offensive line. Giving Stafford two excellent receivers that can separate from any defender is a recipe for points, and given that we suspect the Rams will be trailing at multiple points in this game, that plays into a pass-heavy game script for Stafford and company.
On the other side, Barkley and an entirely healthy Philadelphia offense should have little issue against a Rams defense that allows 350.6 yards per game this season (23rd in the NFL). This NFC matchup feels like a high-scoring battle in prime time, and we’re backing the Over at SoFi Stadium.
PICK #3: Cooper Kupp Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+155)
When Cooper Kupp is healthy, the connection between him and Matthew Stafford is as good as it gets in this league. While he didn’t receive many red-zone looks against the Dolphins two weeks ago, Kupp got back in the end zone twice last weekend against the Patriots, part of a game where he finished with six receptions and 106 yards. Overall, in the four weeks since returning from injury, the veteran wideout has 29 receptions on a whopping 39 targets for 341 yards and three touchdowns.
Setting aside Kupp’s elite last couple of weeks, the Rams are in another desperate spot this week, as they need to pick up a win on Sunday to stay in the NFC West race and conference playoff picture. In these big-game situations, Stafford has made it a point to target Kupp early and often, and the veteran receiver should be in for another high usage rate against a young Eagles secondary. Let’s back Kupp in a spot where he should see plenty of targets, especially near the end zone.
