Week 14 of the NFL wraps up with a Monday Night Football matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Chargers. This clash between two postseason hopefuls kicks off at 8:15 PM ET live on ABC and ESPN, and emanates from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. With the Eagles still vying for the NFC #1 seed and Chargers targeting a Wild Card spot, let’s break down our MNF best bets for tonight.

Our first MNF best bet will target the Los Angeles Chargers to pull the small upset.  Both teams enter this game with a record of 8-4; however, the Eagles are in much worse form.

Philadelphia has lost back-to-back games, the most recent being on Black Friday against the Chicago Bears by a score of 24-15. The week prior, they blew a 21-0 lead to the Dallas Cowboys, showing how inconsistent they have been, especially offensively.

The Chargers, on the other hand, have won three straight, the most recent being a 31-14 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. The biggest question mark for the Chargers is their quarterback, Justin Herbert. He is listed as questionable with a hand injury, but is expected to play in this game.

The Eagles are the slight favorites, but given their recent lack of form and fact they’ll be on the road, the Chargers hold good value to win this one outright at plus-money odds.

Our second pick for this game will be on the Over. Neither team has been particularly impressive on offense this season, but both are in the middle of the pack.

The Chargers are averaging 23.1 points per game, while the Eagles are averaging 22.5 ppg. Defensively, it is a similar story as Los Angeles is allowing 21.0 points per game, while Philadelphia is allowing 20.8 points per game.

Even though both teams have solid defenses, there are plenty of injuries to suggest that points will be scored in this game. Philadelphia will be without defensive tackle Jalen Carter and possibly safety Marcus Epps.

As for the Chargers, they are possibly going to be without defensive tackle Otito Ogbonnia. As mentioned, Justin Herbert is dealing with a hand injury, but it does not appear to be significant enough to limit his ability to throw the ball.

Both the Eagles and Chargers have seen seven of their 12 games go over the posted total for this game, and given the talent available on both offenses, it is not asking a lot for both teams to top 20 points.

With both defenses banged up and the offenses having the ability to score on a relatively consistent basis, the Over looks the right side to be on.

Our final bet for this game is for Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey to find the end zone on Monday night.

McConkey is second on the Chargers with five receiving touchdowns, but leads the team in receiving yards at 683. He has scored all of his touchdowns over the last eight games, which include two in the last three games and three in the last five games. The Eagles’ defense has been middle of the pack against the pass and has allowed 12 passing touchdowns this season.

Philadelphia has been stingy at times in allowing opponents into the end zone, but getting McConkey at +225 odds looks overpriced and is worth taking a chance on.
