Odds as of 7:12 AM ET, Nov 8, 2026

The Browns (5-3) visit the Saints (2-5) at 1:00 PM ET at the Superdome. New Orleans can't run the ball, so it throws, and the throws go to Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele. That's the whole case for both picks. The Saints average 39 pass attempts a game, ninth most in the league, and 86 rushing yards, 28th. They ran for 18 yards in their last game, a 16-10 loss to Pittsburgh in Paris, then released Kendre Miller, their leading rusher.

Cleveland turns to Shedeur Sanders for his first start of the season. Deshaun Watson is questionable while in the concussion protocol, and head coach Todd Monken has named Sanders the starter. As a rookie, Sanders went 3-4 in seven starts with 7 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. The Browns are also without defensive tackle Maliek Collins (elbow). New Orleans is a 3.5-point favorite, and the total is 42.5.

Tyler Shough is projected to start for New Orleans. He has played through two broken bones in his left hand for more than a month and isn't on the final injury report. Both picks need him under center.

Browns vs. Saints Predictions

  • Pick #1: Chris Olave Over 5.5 Receptions (-124)
  • Pick #2: Devaughn Vele Over 37.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

PICK #1: Chris Olave Over 5.5 Receptions (-124)

Olave has seen 71 targets in seven games, just over 10 a game, and has 49 catches, 16 more than any other Saint. He has caught six or more passes in 5 of the 7. With no ground game to fall back on, Shough keeps coming back to him, and the club lists Olave as a first-team receiver.

That 5-of-7 mark works out to 71%. The Over at -124 implies 55.4%, and his volume comes from a role that hasn't changed.

His last three games were quieter: 4, 4 and 6 catches, so only one cleared this number, and he played 58% of the snaps in one of them. Cleveland has allowed 196.6 net passing yards a game, sixth fewest. Rookie Jordyn Tyson is also set to make his NFL debut after the Saints activated him from injured reserve. He will take some targets, and the club hasn't said how much he will play.

PICK #2: Devaughn Vele Over 37.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

At -114, this Over implies 53.3%, and Vele has topped 37.5 yards in 6 of 7 games: 69, 64, 39, 54, 42 and 54. His one miss was 26 yards against Minnesota, the day Shough threw for 96. He has played between 88% and 96% of the offensive snaps every week, so he's out there for nearly all of those 39 throws a game.

He doesn't need a big Olave day, either. In the two games when Olave caught 4 and 6 passes, Vele still had 42 and 54 yards.

Tyson is a problem for this pick too, since a new receiver takes routes from someone. Cleveland could also try to shorten the game on the ground. Quinshon Judkins faces a Saints run defense that allows 139.4 yards a game, 29th in the league, and long Browns drives would mean fewer New Orleans snaps.
