Blackhawks vs. Panthers Prediction, NHL Odds & Best Bets (11/4)

Fact checked at 7:29 AM ET, Nov 4, 2026
Odds as of 7:00 AM ET, Nov 4, 2026
Chicago visits Amerant Bank Arena at 7:30 PM ET on TNT still looking for its first road win, 0-5-1 away from home and 4-10-1 overall. Florida is 8-5-2 and playing without Aleksander Barkov and Brad Marchand, both out with knee injuries. The bet here is that Florida's top players produce against one of the league's leakiest defenses, and a Chicago team that can't score is held to two goals or fewer. Florida is -250 on the moneyline and Chicago +200.
The Blackhawks have scored 33 goals in 15 games, 2.2 a game and 31st of 32 teams, while allowing 58. They're also without Patrick Kane, who left their 5-2 home loss to Colorado with an upper-body injury and will miss at least the next couple of games, per coach Jeff Blashill. Florida lost its last game too, 5-3 at home to Detroit, but won the first meeting 3-2 in Chicago. Both goalies are projected, not confirmed: Spencer Knight for Chicago and Jacob Markstrom for Florida, who returned from an upper-body injury to start against Detroit.
Blackhawks vs. Panthers Predictions
- Pick #1: Seth Jones Over 0.5 Assists (-110)
- Pick #2: Blackhawks Team Total Under 2.5 (-145)
PICK #1: Seth Jones Over 0.5 Assists (-110)
Jones runs the point on Florida's top power-play unit, with Matthew Tkachuk, Brady Tkachuk, Sam Reinhart and Carter Verhaeghe in the Panthers' last game. He has 16 assists over his last 10 games and at least one in 8 of them, including one in the win in Chicago. At -110, the Over implies 52.4%.
It's mostly about ice time. He's played between 21 and 27 and a half minutes in each of those 10 games, with 27:23 against Detroit, and he kills penalties on the top unit as well. Chicago allows close to four goals a night, and a defenseman who's on the ice that much, and quarterbacks the top power play, touches a lot of Florida's goals.
The longer record is thinner, and that's what worries us. All 16 of his assists this season came in that 10-game stretch. He had none in Florida's first five games, when the whole team scored nine goals, so he's at 8 of 15 games with an assist, just above break-even. Last season he had an assist in 20 of 52 games for Florida. You're betting that Florida's offense stays where it has been over its last 10 games, 3.8 goals a game, against the right opponent for it. The Detroit loss shows how it fails: 27 minutes and nothing on the scoresheet.
PICK #2: Blackhawks Team Total Under 2.5 (-145)
Chicago has scored two goals or fewer in 10 of its 15 games, and in 4 of its 6 road games. At -145, the Under implies 59.2%, and their season rate of 10 in 15 runs well ahead of it.
Nothing points to that changing tonight. They're 31st in scoring, they've averaged 2.3 goals over their last 10, and Kane is out. They scored two against Florida in the first meeting. That's the game we expect: Florida's top players have the puck and Chicago spends the night chasing.
Florida's net is where this can go wrong. Markstrom allowed four goals on 28 shots in his return against Detroit, and if he's off again, or the game opens up, Chicago can get to three. The Blackhawks have scored three or more five times this season, including four at Boston.
