Bengals vs Cowboys NFL Week 14 MNF picks

For Monday Night Football in Week 14, we’ll have a clash of entertaining yet flawed teams as the 4-8 Cincinnati Bengals will head to AT&T Stadium to take on the 5-7 Dallas Cowboys. It’s clear both teams are not where they want to be heading into Week 14, but this should still be an entertaining game with plenty of offensive fireworks.
Joe Burrow leads a potent offense, while backup quarterback Cooper Rush is doing all he can to keep the Cowboys relevant. Let’s dive into our Bengals vs Cowboys MNF picks and best bets.
Bengals vs Cowboys Predictions
Pick #1: Dallas Cowboys +5.5 (-108) vs Cincinnati Bengals
Pick #2: Over 49.5 Points (-112)
Pick #3: Cooper Rush Over 231.5 Passing Yards (-115)
Pick #1: Cowboys +5.5 vs Bengals (-108)
We’ll begin our Cowboys vs Bengals picks by taking the Cowboys as a 5.5-point home underdog. The Bengals have had a hard time picking up wins in games they should be winning handily, and that’s what we’re hoping for by taking the Cowboys and 5.5 points. Make no mistake: the Dallas Cowboys are nowhere close to a juggernaut. But even without QB Dak Prescott as the signal-caller, Cooper Rush at least gives them a chance to be competent on offense and keep them in games. Not to mention RB Rico Dowdle’s emergence as a weapon in the backfield.
Say what you want about Dallas, but they’ve been feisty in winning their last two games against the Washington Commanders and New York Giants to pull themselves out of a 3-7 quagmire to find themselves at 5-7 on the season. We’ll see if that continues against the Bengals at home, but taking the Cowboys and a healthy 5.5 points seems like a good match for Monday night.
Pick #2: Over 49.5 Points (-112)
The next pick in our Bengals vs Cowboys MNF predictions is taking the Over, set at 49.5 points. The Bengals themselves could total Over 49.5 points against this lackluster Cowboys defense. The Cowboys are the third-worst team in defensive EPA per play and are far and away the worst in the league in defensive EPA per rush attempt. This is bad news for Dallas, as Chase Brown has been on a massive heater for the Bengals. Brown has scored in four of his previous five games and has been a huge factor in the receiving game, averaging 6.5 targets and 44 receiving yards on top of his 79.5 rushing yards per game in his last four contests.
With the passing game for the Bengals featuring WRs Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, that goes without saying for Cincinnati. On the Dallas side, Cooper Rush has at least 32 pass attempts in his last three games, and Rico Dowdle has turned into a workhorse for the Cowboys with his first 100-yard game of the season on Thanksgiving against the Giants. Plenty of scoring is on tap for Monday Night Football, so taking the Over on 49.5 points is wise.
Pick #3: Cooper Rush Over 231.5 Passing Yards (-115)
Our final Bengals vs Cowboys pick for Monday Night Football is taking Cooper Rush’s prop for Over 231.5 passing yards. Rush has hit this mark in two of his last three games, and the one he didn’t was on Thanksgiving, where the offense for the Cowboys flowed through Rico Dowdle. The Bengals are sixth-worst in defensive EPA per pass attempt, which has been a big problem all season, especially Cam Taylor-Britt, one of the worst coverage cornerbacks in the league.
With CeeDee Lamb and now Brandin Cooks back to add to a possibly-returning Jake Ferguson at TE, there should be no shortage of weapons for Rush to get well over that passing mark. Even if the Bengals roll out ahead of Dallas, a negative game script is a great thing for this passing prop, as we know that the Cowboys will be unafraid to let Rush rack up pass attempts. We’ll take the Over 231.5 passing yards (-115) for Cooper Rush, which seems very attainable on Monday Night Football.
