Odds as of 6:00 AM ET, Nov 5, 2026
Indiana hosts Bellarmine at 6:00 PM ET at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, streaming on Peacock and NBCSN. This sets up as a fast game that Indiana wins easily, with Bellarmine scoring enough against the Hoosiers' reserves to stay inside the number. So we're taking Bellarmine +26.5 and the Over.
There isn't much to go on, since each team has played once. Indiana beat Eastern Illinois 91-57 in its opener, its ninth straight home-opening win. Bellarmine lost 93-47 at No. 24 Vanderbilt to start a three-game road trip that continues here. It's the first regular-season meeting between the programs.
Bellarmine vs. Indiana Predictions
- Pick #1: Bellarmine +26.5 (-109)
- Pick #2: Over 153.5 (-110)
PICK #1: Bellarmine +26.5 (-109)
Indiana's opener showed how a game like this tends to end. Once the Hoosiers had it in hand, the bench took over: reserves scored 40 points, and nine players finished with at least six. Long minutes for reserves late are what keep a 25-point lead from turning into 35.
One widely used efficiency model projects Indiana 88, Bellarmine 64. That's a 24-point margin, a little inside the number, and -109 only asks for a 52.2% chance.
Bellarmine did its best work at Vanderbilt after halftime. Down 44-17 at the break, the Knights scored 30 in the second half on 45.5% shooting. Last season they lost at Notre Dame by seven and at Kentucky by 14, though several of that team's top scorers are no longer on the roster, so don't read too much into it.
Turnovers are the danger. Bellarmine gave it away 23 times at Vanderbilt, and Vanderbilt turned those into 37 points. Indiana forced 22 turnovers against Eastern Illinois and scored 29 off them. If that happens again early, 26.5 won't be enough.
PICK #2: Over 153.5 (-110)
We're betting against Bellarmine's defense here. Last season the Knights allowed 81.7 points per game, and opponents made 39.7% of their threes. They played four road games against high-major teams (Georgia, Kansas State, Notre Dame and Kentucky), and all four went past 153.5. The lowest of them finished at 163. Vanderbilt then put up 93 on 60% shooting in the opener.
Indiana should be able to do the same. The Hoosiers scored 91 in their opener and forced 22 turnovers, and they go nine deep. Bellarmine was also outrebounded 38-20 at Vanderbilt, and every missed shot it can't rebound gives Indiana another possession.
At -110 the Over implies 52.4%. Bets on the total are split evenly, but 80% of the money is on the Over.
The risk is Bellarmine's offense. The Knights scored 47 at Vanderbilt on 37% shooting, and the same model that has Indiana by 24 adds up to 152. Bellarmine shot 52.1% as a team last season, and returners Kenyon Goodin and Tyler Doyle both scored efficiently, but this group still has to show it can get to the mid-60s. That's the game we're betting on: Indiana somewhere around 90, Bellarmine in the mid-60s.
