A Guide to the Draw No Bet Sportsbook Wager
The moneyline bet on football and basketball is very different from soccer, mainly because draws/ties are more common in soccer. But what happens if you take the draw out of the equation?
That’s where the draw no bet market comes in.
Draw No Bet Meaning
A draw no bet gives you the option between Team/Player A and Team/Player B. There is no option for a tie/draw, and this changes the odds and probability. If there is a tie, your stake will be refunded.
You can find “draw no bet” or “tie no bet” options in most sportsbooks. It’s more commonly offered in soccer matches but is usually included in all sports where ties are common.
Example of a Bet on Draw No Bet
To understand how the tie no bet option works, let’s suppose you’re betting on the following tie no bet market in a soccer game:
• Team A +100
• Team B -130
If you bet on Team A, you’ll win when they do and lose when they do. If the game ends in a tie, your stake will be returned to your account.
1st Half Draw No Bet Meaning
A 1st half draw no bet only applies to the first half. The half is essentially treated as the full game. If it’s 1-1 at half-time, it’s a push, and stakes are returned. If your chosen team is winning, you’ll win the bet.
How Does Draw No Bet Work in a Parlay?
It works the same as any other bet. If you win, the parlay continues; if you lose, it’s unsuccessful. If it’s a push due to the game ending as a draw/tie, it will be removed, and the parlay will recalculate.
