Thunder vs. Cavaliers Prediction, NBA Odds & Best Bets (11/2)

Odds as of 8:47 AM ET, Nov 2, 2026
The Thunder (4-2) visit the Cavaliers (4-2) at Rocket Arena for a 7:00 PM ET tip on NBCSN. Oklahoma City is down to a short rotation: Chet Holmgren (right knee), Jalen Williams (left ankle surgery), Cason Wallace (left shoulder surgery), Alex Caruso (right ankle), Nikola Topic and Thomas Sorber are all out on the latest injury report. Since Holmgren, Williams and Wallace went down, the Thunder have made 27 of 96 threes over three games and scored 96 and 98 in the last two. We expect a lot of Oklahoma City misses in Cleveland, so we're on the Cavaliers to cover and James Harden to pick up some of those misses.
Cleveland has Jaylon Tyson and Nae'Qwan Tomlin out, and Peyton Watson is questionable with a right hamstring issue. Starting lineups are projected.
Thunder vs. Cavaliers Predictions
- Pick #1: Cavaliers -4.5 (-105)
- Pick #2: James Harden Over 4.5 Rebounds (-116)
PICK #1: Cavaliers -4.5 (-105)
With Holmgren, Williams and Wallace, the Thunder held Denver to 84 and the Clippers to 101. In the three games since, they have allowed 114, 120 and 119, beating Phoenix 125-114 and then losing 120-96 at Dallas and 119-98 at Houston. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 26, 21 and 26 in those games, but the shooting around him has dried up. Oklahoma City hits 30.9% from three for the season, 26th in the league, and 28.1% over those three games.
Cleveland scores 121 points a game, second in the league, and put up 125, 127 and 121 in three home wins. It just beat Milwaukee 136-111 on the road behind 27 from Evan Mobley and 25 from Jarrett Allen. The Cavaliers also average 48.2 rebounds, fourth in the league, so a cold Thunder night should turn into extra Cleveland possessions.
The price implies 51.2%, and the record at this number isn't great. In six games Cleveland has covered 4.5 only twice. Two of the home wins came by four points and by two in overtime, and the losses were at Philadelphia and Atlanta. If Watson sits, Cleveland loses its projected starting small forward and leans harder on its bench.
PICK #2: James Harden Over 4.5 Rebounds (-116)
Harden starts at point guard and has played 33 or more minutes in five of his six games. His rebounds go 3, 8, 5, 2, 5 and 6, so he's cleared 4.5 four times. The minutes hold in tight games and in routs: 39 in the overtime win over Minnesota, and six rebounds in only 26 minutes at Milwaukee.
Six games is a short run, so the longer record carries more weight. Last season he cleared 4.5 in 38 of 70 games (54.3%), and in 16 of 26 after joining Cleveland (61.5%). At -116 the break-even is 53.7%, which the Cleveland stretch beats comfortably.
The matchup helps. A team shooting 28% from three over its last three games gives up long rebounds, and those carom out to where a guard can grab them. It's the same misfiring Thunder offense the spread pick is built on.
Harden won't be the first player to the ball. Allen has at least eight rebounds in each of Cleveland's last five games, and Isaiah Hartenstein has 13 and 14 in two of the Thunder's last three. Harden had just two against Washington. He isn't on the injury report.
