Heat vs. Lakers Prediction, NBA Odds & Best Bets (11/2)

Odds as of 8:54 AM ET, Nov 2, 2026
The Heat (2-4) visit the Lakers (5-2) at Crypto.com Arena for a 10:00 PM ET tip. We think Luka Doncic carries the Lakers past a Miami defense that has given up 121.5 points a game through six games, 26th in the league, while the Heat's scoring stays with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bam Adebayo and Davion Mitchell. So we're on the Lakers to win, Doncic over his points line and Andrew Wiggins under his.
The schedule is the problem. The Lakers beat Toronto 131-125 in their last game and are on the second night of a back-to-back, while Miami has had two nights off since beating Indiana 145-125. Both lineups are projected, and the Lakers' injury report for tonight isn't out yet. Ziaire Williams (foot) and Adou Thiero are listed out, with Jake LaRavia starting in Williams' spot. Miami has Tim Hardaway Jr. questionable for personal reasons.
Heat vs. Lakers Predictions
- Pick #1: Lakers Moneyline (-130)
- Pick #2: Luka Doncic Over 33.5 Points (-119)
- Pick #3: Andrew Wiggins Under 12.5 Points (-109)
PICK #1: Lakers Moneyline (-130)
Miami hasn't held anyone under 113 in its last five games: Detroit scored 128, Charlotte 115, Dallas 113, Atlanta 117 and Indiana 125. The season is young, but the same five Heat starters started all five of those and are projected to start again. The Lakers score 120.3 a game, fifth in the league, and Doncic leads the NBA at 37.7 points per game.
We'd rather not lay points on a tired team, so we're taking the moneyline. At -130 it implies a 56.5% chance. The Lakers have won five of seven, and the two losses were at home to Portland and by 17 at Golden State. On the moneyline, 61% of the money sits on 44% of the bets, so the bigger tickets are on Los Angeles while most bettors take Miami.
Fatigue worries us, and Doncic in particular. The last time the Lakers played the second night of a back-to-back, he sat out the Clippers game with back tightness. Reports after the Toronto win say he's expected to play. If he's ruled out, we wouldn't want this bet.
PICK #2: Luka Doncic Over 33.5 Points (-119)
Doncic has scored 52, 41, 37 and 45 in his last four games, all starts, playing 35 to 38 minutes each time. He cleared 33.5 in every one. He made six to eight threes in each of those games, so he doesn't need a parade to the free-throw line, although he went 13-for-13 there against Toronto and had 24 points by halftime. The Lakers "struggled mightily in the minutes without him" in that win.
The price implies 54.3%, and four games is a short run. Still, the league's leading scorer gets a defense allowing 121.5 a game, in a game we expect the Lakers to win by leaning on him.
The back-to-back hangs over this one too. He played 35 minutes against Toronto, and a blowout either way could cut into his fourth quarter. If he doesn't play, most books void the bet.
PICK #3: Andrew Wiggins Under 12.5 Points (-109)
Wiggins gets the leftovers in this offense. He has scored 11, 8, 4, 12, 18 and 12 in six games this season, under this line in five of them, and he averages 10.8 points on 9.7 shots in 27.3 minutes. Antetokounmpo averages 28.2 points, Adebayo just scored 27 against Indiana, and Mitchell has 10 or more assists in three of his last five games. Most nights Wiggins is the fourth or fifth option.
The -109 price implies 52.2%. If the Lakers win this game, Miami's supporting cast probably didn't have a big night.
The margin is thin. Two of those five unders landed on exactly 12, and his 18 at Atlanta came with a 4-for-7 night from three. If Hardaway sits, Miami loses 12 to 22 minutes of bench scoring, and some of those shots could go to Wiggins.
