Steelers vs. Browns Prediction, NFL Week 4 TNF Odds & Best Bets (10/1)

Fact checked at 8:17 AM ET, Oct 1, 2026
Odds as of Oct 1, 7:42 AM ET
Pittsburgh and Cleveland are both 2-1, and neither one got there by scoring. The Steelers have 53 points in three games and have allowed 60. The Browns have 54 and have allowed 71. Pittsburgh beat Cincinnati 30-27 on Sunday. Cleveland has won two straight since a 34-10 loss at Jacksonville, most recently 21-18 over Carolina. Both played at home Sunday, so each team gets three days to turn around, and Pittsburgh has to travel.
The injury report matters here. Cleveland has ruled out center Elgton Jenkins (concussion), guard Teven Jenkins (back) and receiver Tylan Wallace (knee). Pittsburgh will be without running back Rico Dowdle (toe) and cornerback Joey Porter Jr., and corners Jalen Ramsey (wrist) and Brandin Echols (concussion) are questionable.
Pittsburgh is a 2.5-point favorite in the consensus, the same number it opened at most books, though the price has gone from -110 to -120. The total is where the action is. It opened 40.5 and is down to 38.5. Kickoff is 8:15 PM ET Thursday at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, on Prime Video.
Steelers vs. Browns Predictions
- Pick #1: Under 38.5 (-112)
- Pick #2: Aaron Rodgers Over 0.5 Interceptions (+100)
- Pick #3: Jaylen Warren Over 26.5 Receiving Yards (-109)
PICK #1: Under 38.5 (-112)
Cleveland expects to start a center who hasn't taken an offensive snap this season, and neither offense could score much to begin with.
Elgton Jenkins had played every offensive snap at center (51, 58 and 70) before missing practice all week, and now he's out. Luke Wypler is next on the depth chart and expected to start. His only snaps this year have come on special teams. Teven Jenkins, the listed starter at right guard, misses his fourth straight game, so the center spot is the real change. That line gets a Pittsburgh defense with eight sacks, tied for seventh, and Deshaun Watson has been sacked nine times already.
Neither offense has much room for error. Pittsburgh scores 17.7 points a game (26th) and Cleveland scores 18.0 (tied for 24th). They're 29th and 30th in third-down conversion rate.
The weather shouldn't matter much early. The National Weather Service has about 77 degrees at kickoff at the open-air stadium, with a south-southwest wind around 10 mph. Rain chances are low at kickoff and climb late, to 44% by 11 PM, as a cold front moves in.
The total has fallen from 40.5 to 38.5, the 7:42 AM ET consensus. The drop may already price in the Cleveland injury, so this pick is about the matchup, not the move. At -112, the implied chance is 52.8%.
The Over has a case. Four of the six games these teams have played went over 38.5: Pittsburgh's last one had 57 points, and Cleveland's three had 44, 42 and 39. The Under is also the popular side, with 71% of the bets. And Pittsburgh's secondary is thin. Porter is out again, and Ramsey, who has played every defensive snap, is questionable with a broken wrist. Both meetings last season stayed under the total (32 and 19 points), but Cleveland had other quarterbacks starting then, so those games don't tell us much.
PICK #2: Aaron Rodgers Over 0.5 Interceptions (+100)
At even money, this is a bet that a quarterback throwing this much on a short road week makes one mistake. The +100 price implies 50%.
Pittsburgh has thrown 115 passes, sixth-most in the league, and Rodgers has attempted 40, 39 and 34. He threw an interception at New England in Week 2 and another against Cincinnati in Week 3, after a clean opener against Atlanta. The Steelers complete 57.4% of their passes (29th) and rank 29th on third down, so he keeps facing long-yardage throws.
This one is on the road with three days of rest. Rodgers has been sacked eight times, and Cleveland's defense has seven sacks, tied for 11th. The Browns should also have cornerback Tyson Campbell back. He was inactive in Week 3, practiced fully Wednesday and has no injury designation.
Rodgers isn't on the injury report, and he's taken all but three of Pittsburgh's offensive snaps this season.
The interception also pairs well with the Under, because a turnover ends a drive.
Cleveland's defense is the problem: just two interceptions in three games (tied for 14th). Two interceptions in 113 attempts isn't a high rate for Rodgers, and the market leans the other way, with the Under at -128. We looked at his passing-yards Over (214.5), but it needs the same completions as the Warren pick and works against the Under.
PICK #3: Jaylen Warren Over 26.5 Receiving Yards (-109)
Warren has gone over this number in all three games, and two of them came when he was still splitting the backfield. With Dowdle out, he's the lead back.
He had 27 receiving yards on five catches against Atlanta while playing 37% of the snaps, 34 on two catches at New England at about 70%, and 49 on three catches against Cincinnati at 90%. Dowdle got hurt in Week 2, missed Week 3 and didn't practice this week, so the Cincinnati game is the best preview of Thursday. Warren also ran for 127 yards on 17 carries that day.
He's seen six, four and four targets and done plenty with them: 10 catches for 110 yards on 14 targets. Cleveland allows 239.3 passing yards per game, 20th in the league, so the matchup is neutral.
This works alongside the Under. A 20-16 game still leaves room for 30 receiving yards from a running back, and a struggling offense leans on short throws. At -109, the price implies 52.2%.
The margin is thin. He cleared the line by half a yard against Atlanta, and with four targets a game, one quiet night can leave him short. His last two totals came on just two and three catches. There's also only one game of him as the lead back to go on. We liked this more than Warren's other markets. His rushing Under (75.5) only won when Dowdle was taking carries, and his receptions Under (3.5) lost in Week 1 and was one catch from losing in Week 3.
