Odds as of 8:46 AM ET, Nov 2, 2026

The Golden Knights (9-5-1) open a road trip against the Bruins (10-4-1) at TD Garden, with puck drop at 7:00 PM ET on NESN and Scripps Sports. The market makes Vegas a slight favorite, and we'd go the other way. Boston is 6-1-0 at home and allows 2.4 goals a game, fourth-fewest in the league. Vegas has lost four of its last five and scored 11 goals in those games, and the slowdown runs through its top line. We expect Boston's defense to keep the Golden Knights quiet, the Bruins to win, and Jack Eichel to go another night without an assist.

Carter Hart is projected for Vegas and Jeremy Swayman for Boston, and neither club has named a starter. Hart (4-3-1, .889) missed a start after leaving a morning skate hurt, then returned to practice and backed up Adin Hill in the last game. Swayman is 7-3-1 with a .912 save percentage. Forward lines and power-play units below are projections. Player props may settle differently in overtime at different books.

Golden Knights vs. Bruins Predictions

  • Pick #1: Bruins Moneyline (-102)
  • Pick #2: Jack Eichel Under 0.5 Assists (+100)

PICK #1: Bruins Moneyline (-102)

Boston has the better results and you're getting it close to even money. The Bruins are plus-19 in goal differential to Vegas's plus-9, they lead the Atlantic, and they've lost once in regulation in seven home games. Vegas is 3-2-1 on the road and plays in Pittsburgh the next night.

Most of the case is goal prevention. Boston allows 2.4 a game and Vegas allows 2.93. The Golden Knights score 3.53 a game on the season, but only 2.2 a game over their last five, a stretch that ended with a 5-2 home loss to New Jersey. Their own club columnist wrote afterward that "the Golden Knights aren't playing their best hockey right now."

The Bruins have won 10 of 15, and -102 implies 50.5%. What could go wrong is in net and on special teams. Both starters are projected, not confirmed, and the Vegas power play, which converts 27.3% of the time, gets a Boston penalty kill in the bottom half of the league. Mitch Marner also brings a nine-game point streak.

PICK #2: Jack Eichel Under 0.5 Assists (+100)

Eichel has gone without an assist in 8 of his last 10 games. His four assists in that span came in two games. He still leads Vegas with 20 points, but 9 of his 13 assists came in the first five games of the season.

At even money you need him held off the assist sheet half the time, and he's been there over the whole season too, at 8 games in 15. That's not many games, so the role and the opponent do most of the work. He's projected to center Ivan Barbashev and Mark Stone, as he did in the last game, against the team allowing the fourth-fewest goals in the league. Vegas has scored twice in three of its last five, and two goals don't leave many assists to hand out.

The power play is where this loses. Eichel is projected on the first unit with Stone, Marner, Tomas Hertl and Trevor Connelly, and one goal with him on the ice could do it. The Over is -135, so the market expects an assist.
